Oppo has announced its latest flagship smartphones, the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max. The latter features what the company says is an industry-first triple 200MP camera system, along with expanded video capabilities, a new processor and a large battery.

Camera features

While all three rear cameras on the X10 Pro Max offer up to 200MP resolution, their sensor sizes differ. The main camera uses a Type 1/1.3 sensor (72mm²), while the ultrawide and telephoto use Type 1/1.56 sensors (50mm²). Their lenses cover 13mm, 24mm and 70mm equivalent focal lengths, with apertures ranging from F1.5 on the main camera to F2.2 on the ultrawide. The Find X10 has two 200MP cameras rather than three, opting for a 50MP ultrawide instead.

The Pro Max’s ultrawide can focus as close as 4cm (1.6″), while the telephoto offers a 10cm (3.9″) minimum focusing distance. Both phones also support an optional Hasselblad teleconverter, which provides 3.28x magnification for their telephoto cameras.

As with other smartphones, the maximum sensor resolution isn’t what the phones will typically deliver (or what you would want them to deliver all the time). Oppo says both models prioritize 26MP output in sufficient light, from the ultrawide through 9.9x zoom. They will, however, automatically switch to 12MP pixel-binned images in low light.

There’s also a Hasselblad Hi-Res Mode that offers 50MP photos at five focal lengths when lighting permits. At the native focal lengths of the three cameras on the X10 Pro Max, Oppo says its Lumo Hyper Pixel Engine uses multi-frame fusion to produce full-resolution 200MP images.

Both phones feature Oppo’s updated Lumo True Image Engine, which promises a more restrained approach to processing. The default Photo mode now uses the global tone curve from the company’s Hasselblad Master Mode as its tonal reference, which promises less aggressive local tone mapping. The company specifically calls out backlit scenes, explaining that the new processing preserves shadow detail without lifting everything toward the same brightness. It also claims that reduced sharpening and noise reduction will help retain more natural textures.

Expanded video options

The Find X10 Pro Max adds 8K/30p recording across all three rear cameras and extends 4K/120p capture to the ultrawide. Its predecessor, the Find X9 Pro, topped out at 4K/120p. Dolby Vision recording returns, alongside support for ACES-compatible O-Log2. The smaller Find X10 supports 8K/30p and 4K/120p on its main and telephoto cameras, while its ultrawide tops out at 4K/60p.

The Pro Max also introduces Oppo’s first implementation of open-gate recording, capturing 4096 × 3072 footage at up to 60p across all three rear cameras. The taller frame provides more flexibility for cropping into horizontal and vertical formats, though enhanced stabilization isn’t available in this mode.

Oppo is also offering a dedicated Tilta Khronos Creator Kit for the Pro Max, with an additional handle, 67mm filter adapter, teleconverter adapter and active cooling fan for longer recording sessions. An optimized version of Blackmagic Camera, supporting Dolby Vision, O-Log2 and open-gate recording, is scheduled for November.

Beyond the cameras

The Pro Max pairs a 6.78-inch display with MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, while the Find X10 uses a slightly smaller 6.59-inch display and the 3nm Dimensity 9600M. Both offer adaptive-refresh OLED displays, up to 3600 nits of peak brightness when displaying HDR content, Dolby Vision support and up to 144Hz refresh in supported games.

The X10 and X10 Pro Max phones have batteries rated at up to 8000mAh, though capacity varies by market. They support up to 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phones also each offer IP66, IP68 and IP69 dust- and water-resistance ratings.
