Oh baby, baby how were we supposed to know that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline would be included in Olympics 2026?

Turns out, the “...Baby One More Time” singer and DJ’s mid-aughts marriage lives on when it comes to freestyle skiing lingo, specifically in the “K-Fed.”

During the Feb. 9 broadcast, an Olympics announcer explained that a frontside switch-up followed by a backside 270 off the rail is colloquially known as a “K-Fed,” because, “it was popularized around the time Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were in the news, so it became a joke.”

There is also a less popular move named after the pop icon herself, known as “The Britney” or “The Brittney,” which is similar to the K-Fed, but has the skier move in the opposite direction on the rails.

Aside from taking inspiration from the “Circus” singer’s marriage, skiers have also named some switch ups after Ellen DeGeneres and Ray Charles

But ski trick nicknames aren’t the only place stars have turned up at the Olympics 2026. During the Opening Ceremony kick off on Feb. 6, Mariah Carey showed out at the San Siro Stadium to sing “Volare” in impeccable Italian, as well as her own track “Nothing Is Impossible.”

The Grammy winner stunned in an all-white dazzling sequined gown, and even hit her famous whistle note to celebrate the 3,500 athletes competing in the winter games, which will run until Feb. 22.

Meanwhile, other celebrities packed in the stands to take in the historic moment. Everything Everywhere All At Once star Michelle Yeoh attended alongside her husband Jean Todt, while The White LotusSabrina Impacciatore, an Italy native, performed in a dance number after the introduction of the athletes.

And of course, Snoop Dogg and Shaun White were also in attendance, with the former Olympian sharing his knowledge after competing in Turin, Italy in 2006.

“I was so thrilled to hear that Italy was taking on this Olympics, just because I had such an incredible time,” Shaun said during the broadcast, “and I knew this would deliver on that magnitude. To be back here 20 years later is just incredible.”
