North West is proving she’s every inch her famous parents' daughter - and she’s clearly not afraid to push boundaries while doing it.

The 12-year-old social media darling raised eyebrows over the weekend after unveiling what appeared to be a daring new wrist piercing alongside her collection of finger studs in a series of selfies.

Rocking her signature electric blue hair, North posed up a storm in an oversized grey ensemble complete with a luxury handbag and furry boots.

She also layered on chunky silver chains and a skull-and-crossbones pendant, adding even more edge to her rebellious aesthetic.

But it was North’s apparent new wrist piercing that truly stole the spotlight, with eagle-eyed fans quick to notice the multiple studs scattered across her hands and fingers.

While it remains unclear whether the accessories are the real deal or simply high-fashion faux piercings, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s eldest child has already sparked debate in the past with her increasingly bold beauty choices.

North first caused controversy over her accessories last August when she appeared to debut a dermal piercing on her right hand during a lavish trip to Italy with mom Kim.

The unusual piercing - which looked like two small silver balls placed beneath the knuckle of her middle finger - quickly divided fans online, with some questioning whether the reality star was too young for the dramatic look.

Dermal piercings differ from traditional body piercings because they use a small anchor placed beneath the skin to hold the jewelry in place, and can come with risks including scarring, infection and rejection if not properly cared for.

But North appeared unfazed by the backlash, later taking to TikTok in October to show off fake face tattoos and flashy grillz as she continued experimenting with her increasingly bold style.

Then in December, the preteen directly addressed critics in a selfie video shared to the joint TikTok account she shares with Kardashian, lip-syncing to the viral soundbite: 'Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.'

She also added text over the clip reading: 'this is for everyone that's mad over a finger piercing.'

Despite the online debate, North seemingly doubled down on the trend in January by revealing even more finger piercings on social media.

And just last month, the eldest daughter of Kardashian and Kanye West once again sparked chatter after posting snaps showing what appeared to be faux face piercings during a shopping trip.

Meanwhile, North stepped further into the music world on Friday, May 1, with the surprise release of her debut EP, N0rth4evr.

The project saw the 12-year-old not only performing every track across the six-song release, but also taking full production credit on each of the songs, marking a significant step in her early creative output.

The EP follows a growing list of music-linked collaborations, including a featured appearance on Eusexua by FKA twigs, production work on Lil Novi’s recent single “justswagup,” and a guest production credit on skaiwater’s album wonderful.

Now that her debut project is out in the world, North is already looking ahead to her first major live festival appearance, with plans to perform at Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash in Chicago this June.

The lineup places her alongside major names in hip-hop and electronic music, including Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Skrillex, Sexyy Red, and Chief Keef, signalling a strikingly early entry into large-scale live performance spaces.

Her live presence has already been building momentum, after Kanye West brought her on stage during his SoFi Stadium concert in April.

Earlier in the year, North also shared a preview of her track 'Piercing on My Hand (Ye Version)' via Instagram Stories, a collaboration with her father that appeared to reference public discussion around her dermal piercings.

On the track, she rapped: 'Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands, / No friends, just filter, you wouldn’t understand.'

She also delivered lines including: 'All my friends are hits, you know I’m not lazy / You’re so angry that I’m so mainstream,' alongside playful references to her style and ambition, rapping: 'I want more piercings and tats / I love blue hair put it in some plaits / Put the music to the max / I want like a hundred thousand racks.'

North is the oldest of the former couple’s four children together, who also share sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, six, as well as daughter Chicago, eight.
