Most comedy fans have sweet memories of cracking up with their favorite Saturday Night Live cast members as a kid - but Noah Wyle's nostalgia is no joke.
The newly crowned Sexiest Man Alive, 55, has revealed that SNL icon Eddie Murphy spewed profanity at him more than four decades ago when he was a nine-year-old boy.
'I met Eddie once when I was a kid,' the Emmy-winning star of The Pitt told Amy Poehler, 55, on this week's episode of her Good Hang podcast.
'I asked him for his autograph and I said, "I really like you on SNL" and he goes, "what are you doing up that late?" And I said, "duh." And I said, "can I have your autograph?" He goes, "f--k off, man."'
The Daily Mail has reached out to the Beverly Hills Cop star, 65, for comment.
Meanwhile, former ER star Wyle admitted to SNL alum Poehler that he's repeated this story so many times 'in my house' that it's officially become part of his family lore.

Comedy legend Eddie Murphy has yet to respond to Wyle's F-bomb, which he dropped on the Tuesday, October 27, episode of Amy Poehler's Good Hang pod cast
'Last year for my birthday, my daughter [Frances] didn't know what to get me,' he recounted to Poehler, unsuccessfully stifling a giggle fit.
'She's like, Dad, you're never going to believe who mom and I saw yesterday: Eddie Murphy! And we got what you've always wanted, his autograph.'
Wyle continued, 'So, my 10-year-old daughter printed up a picture of Eddie Murphy and then wrote on it, "Dear Noah, you're a great kid, Eddie Murphy." And she spelled Eddie E-D-D-Y.'
Wyle can laugh about the foulmouthed fan encounter now—but admitted that it impacted how he treats his own autograph hounds to this day.
'I always sign an autograph,' Wyle said. 'Whenever a nine-year-old needs an autograph from me, I sign that so fast.'
The proud papa said his homemade Murphy memorabilia, which he deemed 'the greatest gift', now hangs in his office.
Up next: Wyle told Poehler—an SNL cast member herself from 2001 to 2008—he 'would love' to walk the TV tightrope by hosting the iconic sketch comedy series for the first time.
'I recently met Lorne [Michaels], and I kind of put the bee in his bonnet as they say,' Wyle said of the enduring late night juggernaut's 81-year-old creator.
Although Wyle vowed that he would suffer for his art if he scored the high-stress gig, Poehler told him to do quite the opposite.
'Don’t overthink it. Don’t live at the studio,' she said. 'Just go home at night and enjoy. Take a load off. Don’t work too hard.'
