Character creation is the hardest part of any RPG and the same goes for NINJA. There are various mechanics from clans and weapons to Paths and Karma that aren’t explained right away. I’m here to guide you through and explain every part of character creation in NINJA.
Complete Character Creation Guide for NINJA
There are a few crucial choices to make in NINJA’s character creation and I’ll show you the best options depending on whether you’re going for PVE or PVP. We’ll talk about the best Clans, starting Weapons and Elements as well as what path to take. Also, I’ll go into some of the Robux options and whether they are worth it.
Best Clan in NINJA
I’ll list all clans below in detail, but in short, the best Clans are the Mythologic ones. More specifically, because they get drastically better stat boosts and special abilities. I favor Nekomiya the most because of their drastically better Speed which is useful both for PVP and PVE. That said, special abilities from Mythologic clans are all exploration-based and usually cannot be utilized in combat that well. As for Rare clans, they get minor stat boosts, while the Common ones don’t get anything and are just randomized names.
Clan | Bonuses |
Tengu (Mythologic 1%) | • Bird wings • +10 Posture • +15 Tao • Enhanced Gliding |
Songoku (Mythologic 1%) | • Monkey features • +5 HP • +15 Tao • +1 Speed • Enhanced Tree Jumping |
Nekomiya (Mythologic 1%) | • Cat features • +15 Tao • +5 Speed • You reach full speed faster |
Sameshima (Mythologic 1%) | • Shark features • +20 Health • +15 Posture • You can breathe underwater for longer periods of time |
Oda (Rare 5%) | +10 Tao |
Taira (Rare 5%) | +10 HP |
Lin Kuei (Rare 5%) | +10 Tao |
Fujiwara (Rare 5%) | +5 Posture |
Toyotomi (Rare 5%) | +10 HP |
Shirai Ryu (Rare 5%) | +10 Tao |
Common Clans (Common 94%) | No bonuses |
Should You Reroll Clans in NINJA?
You get three free Clan rerolls shared between your two starting character slots. While I definitely recommend you use these if you get a Common Clan, I wouldn’t necessarily buy more with Robux. This is because unlike in other Roblox RPGs, NINJA has incredibly low Clan roll chances and the Clans don’t give major boosts. The 5% for Rare and 1% for Mythologic ones is incredibly steep considering Rare stat boosts are minor and Mythologic abilities are purely for exploration and usually can’t be used in combat.
Is Clan Storage Worth It?
Clan Storage in NINJA isn’t currently worth the Robux price because of incredibly low roll chances for Rare and Mythologic clans. Furthermore, clan bonuses are so minor that your equipment will soon make up for them. Lastly, as mentioned above, Mythologic special abilities are all exploration-based and cannot be effectively used in combat so they’re not a huge advantage. Until they either increase roll chances or buff Clans, buying Clan rerolls and Clan Storage isn’t worth it.
Best Path in NINJA
Your Path determines how fast you progress (EXP boost) by doing different Missions and here are the best options depending on what you’re going for:
- For PVE (Criminal): If you’re mainly looking for a PVE experience, Criminal is best because they get bonus EXP from Travel Missions which are purely PVE. You can still do PVP with other players in the open world if you want but you’ll progress faster with these PVE-based missions.
- For PVP (Executioner): If you’re mainly looking for a PVP experience, Executioner is best because they get bonus EXP from Bounty Hunting PVP missions. Bounties allow you to spawn near another player, glide to them, and try to kill them for rewards and great EXP. Executioners can still do PVE content and team up with Criminal players, it’s just a faster way to progress if you like PVP.
Best Starting Weapon in NINJA
Starting weapons are down to personal preference but these are the best starting weapon options:
- Ninjato: Offers a balance of damage, range, and speed that while not the strongest is perfect for learning the combat mechanics of the game. You need to learn how to parry, dodge, combo, etc., and the sword is excellent for that. Easy to control and get used to.
- Sai: Dagger weapons are some of the best weapons in the game overall due to their speed and combo stun-lock potential so learning the daggers early can give you an edge.
- Bo Staff: Offers the best range out of these three if you want to play it safe while still learning the basic combat mechanics of the game.
Best Element in NINJA
Elements are equally balanced in NINJA and you can pretty much go with any but I personally recommend the following:
- Wood: The Wood element is quite strong to start with since it offers a balanced mix of power for both PVE and PVP. You get a mix of both AOE damage options and single-target ones. The trainer is Mizuki Hayashi and she’s located in a small house near the blacksmith village.
- Lightning: The Lightning element offers a lot of high-damage options that work well with many weapons. Also, the Spark Lightning ability is excellent for mobility in PVP and PVE fights. The trainer is Raiden Yamato and he’s found in the massive Lightning temple with the lightning bolt in front of it toward the bottom of the map.
Note that you get three free Element rerolls if you want to change the element you got.
NINJA Karma Modifiers Explained
Each time you die after Level 10 your character will age and once you reach 100 years old you’ll wipe (permadeath) and gain Karma. You get more Karma based on how far you’ve progressed. Then, you can use Karma once you’re back into character creation to upgrade your character permanently. All Karma Modifiers are good so pick your favorites:
- Life allows you to play for longer and die more often without wiping.
- Talent allows you to learn more skills by getting extra Skill points.
- Efficient and Enlightened will allow you to progress faster.
