Nicole Kidman wows in a black figure-hugging gown as she joins co-star Liev Schreiber on the red carpet at Netflix's The Perfect Couple premiere

Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber appeared in high spirits as they graced the red carpet at Netflix's The Perfect Couple premiere, held at the BFI Max in London on Monday.

The Oscar winning actress, 57, and the actor, 56, star as husband and wife in the murder mystery, which is based on the 2018 novel by Elin Hilderbrand of the same name.

Nicole put on a glamorous display in a black figure-hugging satin gown, while boosting her height in a pair of stilettos.

She accessorised with gold drop earrings and a black ring, while her golden locks were styled poker straight. 

Meanwhile, Liev cut a dapper figure in a grey blazer and matching trousers, teamed with a crisp white shirt.

Nicole and Liev are the ideal spouses, or so it seems, in the upcoming Netflix limited series The Perfect Couple.

The streaming giant released the trailer for the murder mystery, and in the clip, Nicole portrays renowned novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, while Liev Schreiber plays her husband, Tag Winbury.

As they prepare for their son's over-the-top wedding at their stunning Nantucket Island home, a suspicious drowning disrupts their plans.

The six-episode show, debuting on September 5, features an ensemble cast including Dakota Fanning, White Lotus' Meghann Fahy, Eve Hewson, Ishaan Khatter, Billy Howle, and Jack Reynor.

Nicole's best friend Naomi Watts has two children with Liev, so the costars have known each other for many years.

The official logline for the limited series reads: 'Amelia Sacks (Hewson - who is Bono's daughter) is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket.

'Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season — until a body turns up on the beach. 

'As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect.'

In the trailer, Dakota Fanning's character Abby Winbury offers advice to her soon-to-be sister-in-law Amelia, 'The key to this family is to just stay on the periphery, where it’s safe.'

However, when a dead body is found on the beach, the wedding weekend swiftly unravels into a web of suspicion.

Another character's voice can be heard saying of the Winbury family in the clip, 'They’re rich. Kill-someone-and-get-away-with-it-rich.'

An officer then questions Greer at the police station, asking, 'Is there something you want to tell me?'

Tag chimes in, 'It all feels dramatic for an accidental drowning.'

In a voiceover, Kidman can be heard saying, 'We never know what’s going on in someone’s mind really. No matter how close you are.'

This is Kidman's newest Netflix venture, coming after her rom-com A Family Affair, which saw her teaming up again with Zac Efron .

The series is written and helmed by showrunner Jenna Lamia, with Bird Box director Susanne Bier serving as director.
