Nicole Kidman Sparks Romance Rumors With Businessman Michael Reinstein After Multiple Outings
Nicole Kidman's eyes are wide open.
Indeed, the Practical Magic actress—who finalized her divorce from Keith Urban earlier this year—recently reflected on her split from the “Somebody Like You” singer after 19 years of marriage. And even though she went through another high-profile breakup in 2001 from ex Tom Cruise, Kidman admits the experience the second time around doesn't make it any easier.
“It’s all new," she told British Vogue when asked about the two in an interview published Aug. 13, noting, "Every time!"
In fact, Kidman—who shares kids Isabella, 33, and Connor, 31, with the Top Gun star—became accustomed to the spotlight rather quickly when she and Cruise got married in 1990.
“Strangely enough, I feel comfortable. Is that weird? That’s so weird,” she explained of being able to turn on her persona in the spotlight. “But you have to remember literally, because of who I married at such a young age, I was thrust into it since I was 22.”
It's a period of time that she recalls vividly.
“I got married so young,” Kidman told the outlet. “Suddenly I was 22, 23 years old and I had this huge movie star husband. But it just seemed completely natural. We just fell madly in love and it was that simple."
And that simplicity carried over to the Eyes Wide Shut actress deciding to tie the knot with no regrets.

"I remember people saying to me, ‘OK, well this is really going to affect your career,'" she recalled. "I’m like, ‘I don’t care. I’m in love. I want to be married.’ And then I was his ‘wife’ and they were like, ‘See, we told you.’ I’m like, ‘So what? I wasn’t meant to marry the man I love? Of course I’ll throw my career away. I don’t care.’”
Fast-forward more than two decades later and Kidman—who recently sparked romance rumors with businessman Michael Reinstein—is simply focused on just going with it and looking ahead.
“I can still approach things intellectually,” she explained, “but my desire is not to be ruled by my head. I’ve always wanted to live a well-examined life, so what does that entail? Trying things, making mistakes, failing, getting back up, moving on, embracing love, staying open, keeping the heart open and the possibilities.”

But that doesn't mean she isn't processing what she feels.
“At the same time I’m like, ‘OK, I didn’t expect this,'" Kidman—who also shares daughters Sunday, 18, and Faith, 15—with Urban explained. "I had a different view of what my life was going to be, but this is what it is now.’ You make all these plans and you have all these ideas of what it’s all going to be like and then it’s… not. You have to adjust. You adapt. The future, it’s completely unknown to me right now.”
That said, there's magic in the air when it comes to her future regardless.
“There was a point where I was very fearful and deeply vulnerable,” she noted, “which is exposing. And then at the same time [I’m] going, “Well, I can either really not confront it and just curl up, or I can just go forward with an enormous amount of hope.”

The country singer raised eyebrows when he abruptly ended an interview after being asked about Kidman's onscreen chemistry with costar Zac Efron in A Family Affair.
“The first thing I thought of with your beautiful wife, Nicole Kidman, being on so many great movies, TV shows all the time,” a radio host said on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning. “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?”
Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.
“He's disconnected from Zoom,” a radio staffer said. “I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question.”
His rep didn't respond to E!'s request for comment at the time.

July 24, 2025: It's Revealed That Nicole Kidman Applied for Residency in Portugal
E! News learned that the Practical Magic star had submitted application to become a resident of Portugal, with Urban preparing to do the same himself.
“Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S.," a source with knowledge of the situation told E!, "and it is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa. He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule."
At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.

Aug. 6, 2025: Sunday Rose Shares Insight Into Family Life
The couple's eldest daughter Sunday Rose shed light on on their parenting dynamic in an interview, saying that "there are two big rules" at home.

Aug. 28, 2025: Nicole Kidman's Lawyer Prepares Parenting Plan
In August, her lawyer prepared a Child Support Worksheet included in a Parenting Plan stating that Kidman and Urban would be "joint custodians" of their teen daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
However, the Oscar winner was listed as the "primary residential parent," with the girls spending 306 days a year with their mother and 59 days with their father (Urban will have the children every other weekend.).
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by E! News.
“The mother and father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced,” it stated. “They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”

Aug. 29, 2025: Keith Urban Signs Paperwork
Urban moved forward with their Marital Dissolution Agreement, getting it notorized in August, per the doc obtained by E! News.
The document said that Kidman would "institute divorce proceedings against" him due to irreconcilable differences. It also stated that neither party would be getting alimony or spousal support in their split.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.

A week after Urban, the actress had the Marital Dissolution Agreement notorized as well and signed the Parenting Plan.
The same day, a judge signed off on an order that both stars would complete a manditory parenting seminar unless they file for an exemption, per the doc obtained by E! News.
