Fans have roasted Nicole Kidman over her appearance with Sandra Bullock at the Practical Magic 2 premiere in London on Wednesday night.

Nicole, 59, put on an eye-popping display at the Leicester Square Odeon, wearing a custom silver Chanel gown with jewelled draping detail across the bust.

She teamed the dress with gold strappy sandals and wore a hairpiece to create a long wispy fringe.

Several people criticised her look, saying that the shimmering frock did not suit the star.

'Not one of Nicole's best looks. That wig is awful and so is her makeup,' one fan wrote.

'The Chanel dress is divine but would look better on someone with a tan,' another said.

'I think Nicole has lost her way. Trying to look 20 rather than embracing her real age and being a beautiful real woman!' one more added.

Some fans also took issue with her co-star Sandra's strapless leopard print gown, saying the two actresses' outfits were over the top.

'They look like they have raided a drag queen's closet!' they said.

Meanwhile, others said that Nicole's red carpet antics were reminiscent of the PDA-filled displays she used to put on with her ex-husband Keith Urban before their divorce.

'For a moment, Nicole thought Sandra was Keith with her odd posing,' one said.

'Ugh, Nicole is always clinging onto someone,' another said.

However, others heaped praise on the Hollywood icons.

'Love Sandra and Nicole. They're great,' one said, while another commented: 'That's the magic right there.'

Nicole has reunited with Sandra for the much-anticipated project.

The plot of the sequel, set over 25 years after the original film, is adapted from Alice Hoffman's 2021 sequel story, The Book of Magic.

The new film - which will be released next month - also stars Joey King and Maisie Williams, while Nicole reprises her role as Sally Owens and Sandra as her sister Gillian, who have been raised as witches and are at the centre of town gossip.

The film properly introduces the next generation of the family, Sandra's on-screen daughters Kylie and Antonia, played by Joey and Maisie respectively.

The two leading ladies surprised fans as they showed up to a Cinespia screening of their 1998 flick at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles earlier this month.

A behind-the-scenes video clip shared on Instagram showed the audience erupting with excitement after the women took the stage.

At the event, Sandra said: 'Practical Magic is the perfect movie to show at a cemetery,' according to an account from The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Nicole thanked the crowd for their support in 'getting this second film made that's coming to you very soon'.

Nicole confirmed in 2024 that she and Sandra would soon reprise their roles.

Both stars served as producers, while Susanne Bier, who previously worked with Nicole on the Netflix series The Perfect Couple, is directing.
