Nicolas Cage's son Weston Coppola Cage was seen Monday showing up for a hearing and mental health check-in with a downtown Los Angeles court.
The outing was linked to ongoing criminal proceedings stemming from the 35-year-old musician's alleged attack on his mother, actress Christina Fulton, 58, nearly two years ago outside of her Southern California apartment.
Weston continues to deal with the fallout of the case stemming from the violent April 28, 2024, incident involving Fulton, who was also on hand at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
Weston in April of 2025 worked out a deal with the court as he was ordered to enter a mental health diversion program for two years in connection with a pair of felony assault charges he faced in connection with the attack.
Los Angeles County Judge Enrique Monguia said last year that Weston's skewed state of mind, during the time of the incident with his mother, led him to offer the diversion program as an alternative.
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both Nicolas and Weston for further comment on the story.

'Mr. Cage does suffer from an eligible mental health disorder,' Monguia said. 'I’m satisfied it was a significant factor in the commission of the charged offenses.
'It’s obvious he was suffering a breakdown at the time.'
A day after Weston turned himself in to authorities on July 10, 2024, Fulton issued a statement summarizing her recollection of events in the incident involving her son, who had left the scene before officers arrived.
'On April 28th, 2024, around 5:30 p.m. I received urgent messages from friends of my son, Weston Cage regarding his deteriorating mental state, urging me to come help,' Fulton said. 'When I arrived to offer support and console him, he was already in the midst of a manic rage.'
Fulton said that 'within minutes,' she 'was brutally assaulted and sustained serious injuries.'
Fulton, who was seen sporting multiple injuries in the wake of the incident, said that police 'refused' her request to evaluate Weston on a mental health basis and neglected her 'urgent need for ... medical attention.'
She added, 'As a mother, I am deeply saddened and concerned about Weston's ongoing mental health crisis. It is imperative that he receives the help he desperately needs.'
Fulton was present at the April 2025 hearing in which the judge issued a ruling on Weston's case, providing further details about the 2024 incident.

She told the court, according to Rolling Stone, that Weston, in attacking her, was 'crushing and 'suffocating' while jamming his thumb in her eye socket.
'The pain was excruciating,' Fulton told the court. 'My vision went black. I was losing consciousness.'
Fulton said that one of Weston's friends 'risked his life to save' her by pulling him off her during the incident.
'My family would have buried me and Weston would have gone to prison' if his friend didn't intervene, Fulton told the court.
Fulton added that she remained in fear of her son because he'd failed to display any 'remorse or accountability' over the incident.
'I’ve been demonized for being a good mother,' Fulton said. 'Now I stand here, pleading for one thing: that he gets the help he deserves. Please help my son.'
Weston spoke with the Daily Mail in Las Vegas last summer about the incident, and lessons he gleaned in its aftermath.
'You know, it's strengthened me - I can only give radical forgiveness,' the son of the Leaving Las Vegas Oscar-winner said.
The Wolf singer added, 'I've definitely been a target for a lot of misconception my whole life, but I know that only happens to people that are intimidated by the calling of [it].'
Weston, asked if he wanted to clarify any specific aspect of his statement in line with the events that preceded them, replied, 'Oh I will, quite a bit.'
