The quarterbacks for the Cincinnati Bengals and the San Francisco 49ers did not hold back when it came to treating their teammates for the holidays. Indeed, Joe has proved to have a sharp eye for meaningful presents.
“Epic gift alert: Joe Burrow gifted his offensive linemen authentic Japanese Katana swords,” The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr.reported on X, formerly Twitter, Dec. 19. “They are all unique.”
“Each sword comes with its own story, from certain towns or battles,” he added. “He put them all in a room and had them pick theirs out.”
And the 28-year-old’s teammates were truly honored to have received gifts of such high esteem.
“Joe does a great job at buying gifts that are extremely meaningful,” offensive tackle Orlando Brown said. “The fact that he bought me a sword, it’s the most ancient form of respect.”
As for Brock? He went with something a little bigger in size. The 49ers posted the big surprise in a Dec. 19 Instagram post, alongside a video of the 24-year-old treating his teammates to five Toyota Sequoias and five Toyota Tundras, captioned, “Santa Purdy.”
“Boys, I wanna say Merry Christmas,” he said as he led his teammates to their new cars, each topped with a big red bow. “Got some gifts for you guys, sorry for the wait.”
And as each of his linemen—including Aaron Banks, Spencer Burford, Dominick Puni, Ben Bartch and Jaylon Moore—took their pick, he made sure to voice his gratitude for his team with an “appreciate you,” and “thanks for all you do” for each of them.
In fact, his gift baskets were so epic that the Chiefs couldn’t resist posting his generosity to their official X account with the caption, “QB1 spread some Christmas cheer by giving gifts to the o-line.”
And the elaborate gift basket included a Yeti cooler, a Rolex watch, Oakley sunglasses and Lucchese Cowboy boots. He even threw in some football-specific goodies like a Whoop athletic band, a performance monitor and Normatec Elite Air leg compression boots.
After all, Patrick recently shared that his teammates share his knack for gift giving—especially tight end Travis Kelce, who is currently dating Taylor Swift. It turns out, he bought Patrick a pretty memorable present for his 29th birthday.
“Travis got me a Louis Vuitton golf bag, so that’s going to be sweet,” he revealed during a September episode of The Drive podcast. “I don’t know how much I can use that on the golf course, but it will be nice to have.”
And while these NFL legends definitely scored a touchdown with these holiday gestures, they weren’t the only ones with extravagant plans to ring in the season. Keep reading to see how other celebs have been celebrating…
