The episode 6 preview teaser, which you can view above, reveals that the 11th Street Kids will follow Chris Smith into the alternate dimension – I'll refer to it as Earth-2 from now on for simplicity's sake – that he initially discovered in this season's premiere. That's much is confirmed by Leota Adebayo activating the device that opens a dimensional portal to the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, as well as the gang heading through it and finding themselves on Earth-2.

It's Adebayo who holds the key to proving Peacemaker season 2's wildest fan theory about Earth-2, too.

For those who might not be aware: some viewers believe Earth-2 is the DCU's take on Earth-X, a parallel world in DC Comics where Nazi Germany won World War II. The reason why some think Earth-2 is the DCU Chapter One project's stand-in for Earth-X is because it's only inhabited by white people – there are no characters who are black, Asian, or are a member of another ethnic minority group.

That potentially spells danger for Adebayo as a black woman. If Earth-2 is a alternate dimension filled with white supremacists, there's no telling what could happen to her if she's spotted running around Earth 2's version of Evergreen City.

If we know Adebayo as well as we think we do, though, she'll be damned if she's forced to hunker down in a safe location while the rest of the 11th Street Kids search for Peacemaker. After all, she's the titular anti-hero's best friend – sorry, Vigilante... – so she'll do whatever it takes to convince Chris Smith to return home with his buddies.

Episode 6's title, 'Ignorance is Chris', also suggests a big revelation about Earth-2 is coming. Sure, it's a playful pun on the phrase 'ignorance is bliss', but it indicates that Smith can't see the forest for the trees. In layman's terms, he's so hyper-focused on this reality in which he's a celebrated hero, his brother is still alive, and he's found another Emilia Harcourt who loves him, that he refuses to see Earth-2 for the likely racist dimension it is.

With one of the best HBO Max shows' next episode out on September 25 or 26, depending on where you live, it won't be long until we also learn the truth about this seemingly idyllic universe. In the meantime, read more of my Peacemaker coverage below.
