The Marvel Cinematic Universe is underway with its 2026 slate, with The Multiverse Saga entering its remaining films and TV shows. Phase 6 is almost halfway through its run, as a new superhero is now joining the MCU timeline on the small screen.
Following its debut on Disney+, Wonder Man has already emerged as a streaming success for Marvel Studios. According to Disney+, the Phase 6 drama has surged to the #1 slot on the streaming service's Top Series in the US.
FlixPatrol is also revealing that the show is holding the #1 spot for Disney+ in Canada, Belgium, Australia, Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Croatia, Japan, Latvia, Sweden, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Serbia, and Switzerland. The success of Wonder Man doesn't stop there, with it trending for Disney+ at #2 in San Marino and Italy.
The MCU TV show has also emerged as a well-received series for Marvel Studios, as Wonder Man is currently sitting with a strong 91% rating in the Critics' Score on Rotten Tomatoes. The Yahya Abdul-Mateen II-starring series also has 91% on the Popcornmeter at the time of this story's publication.
The Wonder Man series centers on Simon Williams, an actor with super-powers, who lands the opportunity to star in the new remake of the superhero property, while being a target of the Department of Damage Control. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' Destin Daniel Cretton, who also helmed Spider-Man: Brand New Day, co-created the series with Andrew Guest, who serves as head writer.
In ScreenRant's Wonder Man TV review, the latest MCU show was celebrated for the drama's exploration of the leading protagonist "fighting hard to achieve his dreams." In terms of Simons' future with the franchise, Marvel Studios has yet to formally announce any plans.
The next Marvel Studios TV show on the slate is Daredevil: Born Again season 2, which is set to premiere on March 24. While VisonQuest hasn't landed a launch date yet, the upcoming WandaVision spinoff is also arriving on Disney+ later in 2026.
All eight episodes of Marvel Studios' Wonder Man are now streaming, exclusively on Disney+.
