A new leak about Odette in Genshin Impact 7.0 has been shared, and it seems like the upcoming character will be one that players may need for their team comps. Odette has been confirmed as one of the very first playable Snezhnaya characters in Genshin Impact, and she will be introduced alongside Alyosha. Different from Alyosha, who is rumored to be a 4-star Electro character, however, Odette is expected to be a 5-star Cryo character, and her participation in team comps will be that of the main unit carrying the team’s damage output on her shoulders.

Ahead of the arrival of Version 7.0 and the character’s release, along with Snezhnaya, Odette’s gameplay kit has leaked, courtesy of Honey Hunter World. The leak confirms that Odette is, indeed, a 5-star Cryo character, and that she will use a sword in combat. On top of all that, the leak describes Odette’s abilities, both active and passive, and gives us a better sense of how she will operate in teams and a glimpse into what her build will look like once she is released.

Odette holds a small dagger in the shadows in Genshin Impact.

According to the leaks, Odette will have standard-issue Normal and Charged Attacks. With her Elemental Skill, Odette can deal AoE Cryo DMG to an opponent, while also summoning her solo dance double. This dance double alternates between two dance moves, periodically attacking nearby enemies. If the dance double is already nearby when Odette activates her Skill, she and her dance double will perform a special Skill that deals AoE Cryo DMG, and then a second instance of that damage, which is considered Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl DMG in Genshin Impact.

With her Burst, Odette summons her dance double, too, dealing AoE Cryo DMG and gaining Snow Swan’s Dream, which increases the Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG that she deals. For reference, the leak says that Odette enters the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct or Radiance: Stellar Glimmer state when she is inside the Polestar Field or triggers a Stellar Swirl reaction, respectively. The new Cryo character in Genshin Impact also enables the team to deal Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl instead of regular Superconduct or Swirl if she is in the team.

Another of Odette’s passives dictates that when she summons her double, she gains a stack of Marvelous Splendor, which increases her Stellar Glimmer DMG, and she loses stacks when she goes off-field. This further indicates that Odette will be a main DPS in team comps. Her role will be dealing Cryo DMG to activate Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl reactions, which will be more powerful. She will work well alongside Alyosha in Genshin Impact, and may be indispensable for the early Stellar meta.

However, Odette may be redundant if you already own Sandrone, for example, since the Fatui Harbinger is already a 5-star Cryo main DPS focused on Stellar-Conduct reactions. If you skipped Sandrone or are looking forward to building teams around Stellar-Swirl, however, you may not want to skip Odette once she is released in Genshin Impact 7.0 in mid-August.
