The Marvel Cinematic Universe is returning to one of its strongest eras this fall.
Phase 6 is closer to its end, as The Multiverse Saga has a handful of movies and TV shows coming up before Avengers: Secret Wars brings a conclusion to the massive storyline in December 2027. For their next major release, Marvel Studios is taking the audience back to Disney+ this fall, which will put the spotlight on a major Avenger.
ScreenRant visited the VisionQuest set during production, getting a closer look at the upcoming Phase 6 drama and its many mysterious players and storylines. One of the big focuses will be what is going on inside White Vision's mind, the so-called Mindspace, where Paul Bettany's character will be guided by an Avengers team of his own, with the human forms of MCU AI players that are aiding him after his resurrection at the end of the WandaVision series. His "AI Avengers" consist of F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., D.U.M.-E, U, J.A.R.V.I.S., and even Ultron, as they will all have human representations in the Mindspace.
James Spader is coming back as Ultron, while the VisionQuest TV show has cast Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Jonathan Sayer as U, Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E, and Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H. James D'Arcy, who played Edwin Jarvis in Agent Carter, will make his return in the franchise as the human form of J.A.R.V.I.S.
Developed by WandaVision and Agatha All Along's Jac Schaeffer, Terry Matalas serves as the showrunner on the Phase 6 series, which will be the final project to come out before Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters on December 18. However, one plot point will carry over from Kathryn Hahn's spinoff, which is the reintroduction of Tommy Maximoff. a.k.a. Speed, after his soul was placed in Thomas Shepherd, with Ruaridh Mollica taking on the role.

Even though Daredevil: Born Again season 3 is confirmed to premiere in 2027, VisionQuest is the last new series to come out of the MCU timeline before The Multiverse Saga is completed next December. In terms of what Marvel Studios will do with future TV shows on Disney+, it remains to be seen, as they have not announced upcoming titles for Phase 7 and beyond.
As the WandaVision trilogy reaches its end this year, time will tell how each series will impact the larger MCU going forward. With theories still circulating about whether or not Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch is coming back at some point to the franchise, it also remains to be seen if Paul Bettany's Vision is making his return to the big screen after his spinoff.
