  • A new Avengers: Doomsday leak has teased a first look at its ensemble's various suits
  • The reveal comes courtesy of an unlikely source
  • It seemingly confirms a separate leak regarding Doctor Doom's MCU costume

Marvel fans have received their first tantalizing look at the costumes that'll be worn by the cast of Avengers: Doomsday.

The glimpse comes courtesy of an image shared – via Instagram – by a make-up and special effects (SFX) artist who seemingly worked on the forthcoming Marvel Phase 6 movie.

In it, the crew member shows off a gift they received after principal photography wrapped on the superhero flick. And, considering the make-up artist has made their account private after the picture began circulating online (thanks to Reddit for the screenshot), it appears this wrap gift is not only legitimate, but also contains some key details about the upcoming film.

Possible spoilers immediately follow for Avengers: Doomsday. Turn back now if you're avoiding them.

The present in question is a bag adorned with art depicting Avengers: Doomsday's initial 27-strong cast of characters, plus a new cast member in Franklin Richards. The son of The Fantastic Four's Reed Richards and Sue Storm, Franklin will likely be played by the same child actor who portrayed him in The Fantastic Four: First Steps' mid-credits scene. For more on how that tees up Doomsday, check out my Fantastic Four: First Steps ending explained article.

But I digress. This is the first time we've seen many of the suits that Doomsday's cast will sport in one of 2026's most exciting new movies. It's no surprise, then, that Marvel fans are poring over the above images to glean what they can from them and/or comment on how the costumes look.

Where the latter is concerned, many have responded positively to the comic book-accurate attire that Doomsday's cast will wear.

Indeed, threads on Reddit pages, including r/MarvelStudios, r/MarvelStudioSpoilers, and r/MarvelStudio_Rumors, are full of people gushing over the ensemble's outfits. Those that have come in for particularly high praise are Cyclops's iconic blue and yellow suit, Nightcrawler's overall aesthetic, and Thor's latest costume upgrade, which is completed by the return of the short hair style he had in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War.

Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) devotees have picked up on other fascinating elements, too.

For example, Ben Grimm aside, The Fantastic Four sport jackets as part of their clothing ensemble. The cast of Thunderbolts* are dressed up in the suits they had in that film's post-credits scene, while Namor, M'Baku, Professor X, Magneto, and Mystique are all draped in revised versions of the costumes we've seen them wear in previous MCU and 20th Century Fox X-Men movies.

And what of Doctor Victor von Doom, who'll be played by Marvel superstar Robert Downey Jr in Avengers 5 and its sequel Avengers: Secret Wars? The design of his costume on the make-up artist's wrap gift is almost identical to another Avengers: Doomsday leaked image that seemingly teased a first look at Downey Jr's Doctor Doom in mid-September. Unless something about his super-suit changes radically ahead of Avengers: Doomsday's release on December 18, 2026, it seems Doom's official look is locked in.

What do you think? Are you happy with how these costumes look? And is there anything noteworthy I've missed from this apparent concept art? Let me know in the comments.
