Though it may have taken its sweet time getting off the ground, Netflix and Wit Studio's One Piece remake is finally sailing full speed ahead. With a February 2027 release window now locked down, the anticipation surrounding the remake only continues to mount, and expectations are higher than ever.
For the most part, it seems like One Piece's remake could very well exceed these expectations. This is in spite of the series not having released a good look at its animation yet, beyond concept art and character design sheets. That said, Netflix has finally heard the demands, finally giving fans another fresh look at the One Piece remake.
Ahead of a panel at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Netflix has shared a new poster for THE ONE PIECE, specifically Episode #1 of the remake, which is titled "Romance Dawn." The new poster features Luffy setting sail in his little sailboat and will hopefully be the first of more such episode posters to come. More importantly, however, Netflix has also teased a new trailer to come, which will likely be shared on Wednesday, June 24, after the screening at the Annecy Film Festival.
