The show follows a diverse group of families who must push back against a system that is pushing for coveted land. The Abandons earned scores of 30% from critics and 51% from audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, which may not be anything to glance at twice. However, many would argue that the show is misunderstood and could have further gained its footing in future seasons.

At the time of writing, The Abandons has officially exited every top 10 streaming list around the world. The series was heading in the right direction until Netflix announced last month that it had been cancelled, which led to many giving up on watching it if it was not going to have another season.
