The Mosquito Bowl is touching down in theaters soon.
The upcoming World War II movie, which was directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Deepwater Horizon), is based on the bestselling 2022 historical novel of the same name by Buzz Bissinger, inspired by a real-life football game played by United States Marine Corps members shortly before the battle of Okinawa in World War II. 2026's The Mosquito Bowl stars Bill Skarsgård (It, Nosferatu), Nicholas Galitzine (Masters of the Universe, Red, White, & Royal Blue), Ray Nicholson (Novocaine, Smile 2), and Tom Francis (You, Sunset Boulevard on Broadway).
Per Variety, The Mosquito Bowl has officially set its release date. The movie is set to debut in theaters over Halloween weekend on October 30, followed by its streaming premiere on Netflix the following month, on November 25 (the day before American Thanksgiving).
