Nelly has revealed Taylor Swift gave him $50,000 – and some really wild perks – for a three-minute concert appearance during her Speak Now World Tour in 2011.

The 51-year-old rapper shared his story during an interview with The Breakfast Club alongside his wife Ashanti, 46, on Wednesday, saying the pop star, 36, called him 'out of the blue' to ask a special favor.

As Nelly told it, Swift and her friends had choreographed a dance routine to his 2002 hit Hot in Herre and she wanted him to surprise the crowd at her concert in Houston, Texas.

But there was a dilemma, as Swift could only offer a flat fee of $50,000 due to budget constraints.

Nelly, who, with his wife, attended Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce where the bride wore a 'glimmering' gown with '25-foot train,' recalled he jokingly told her, 'Can you put that in a McDonald’s bag?' The pop princess proved she had a sense of humor, too, and delivered the payment just the way he wanted it.

'I've known her for a long time. Her pops, her management,' Nelly said on the show.

'I'm gonna tell you what really threw me, right? She called me one night, just out of the blue, and said, "Yo, Nelly, listen, me and my friends, we made a routine to Hot in Herre last night and I wanna ask you a really big favor."'

Nelly continued: 'Now, I’m in St. Louis, and she's in Houston. She said, "I got two shows in Houston tomorrow and the next day. Can you come down to Houston and just perform it? I don't wanna disrespect you. I don't really have a budget like that."

'Now, listen to her. She says she doesn't really have a budget. But she said, "What I will do is send my plane. I'll get your room and all of that. And we only have like $50,000." I said, "Can you put that in a McDonald's bag?" I said, "But I would've done it for free."'

The Shake It Off hitmaker sent him a G5 private jet to take him to and from the show.

'The plane picked me and the kids up and flew us down to Houston because she was doing three or four nights at the baseball stadium, with 56,000 people. They had them rammed in there!

'We did it, and she was like, "Yo, three minutes, three minutes!" Her [manager Robert Allen] comes out and tosses me a McDonald's bag with $50,000 in cash. I was like, "Oh, no ***! Okay, cool"'

The Ride Wit Me hitmaker noted that 'the money wasn't really the issue.'

'But she was just like, "Yo, the jet is there whenever you're ready." And she got us the presidential suite right there. I think it was the Four Seasons, right there by the stadium. Had the whole top floor. We never even saw the room. We went from the show right back to the airport, or whatever the case may be.'

Nelly mixed up some of the tour details during the interview, however.

He and Swift actually performed Just a Dream together in Houston, Texas during her Speak Now World Tour.

In 2013, they went on to perform Hey Porsche together in St Louis, Missouri during Swift's Red Tour. And in 2015, the pals performed The Fix and Hot in Herre in St Louis during the singer's 1989 World Tour.

The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Swift for comment and has yet to hear back.

Nelly's revelation comes on the heels of Swift's induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame at the city's Music City Center venue on Monday night.

During her speech at the event, she revealed fame makes her life feel 'bizarre' at times but she deals with it by looking back at her country music roots.

'I am so honored to be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame,' she told the audience.

‘I got the news and I was just kind of staring at the words. I was staring at Nashville. I was just like: "Wow, this is crazy.” And then I kind of zeroed in on a few words that have had a particularly intense impact on my life.

‘The first one being “Nashville,” the second “songwriters.” And the last one, “fame.”’

She continued: ‘Fame, that's sort of a byproduct of my love for music. It's kind of like songwriter plus Nashville equals fame.

‘It's why a lot of people know the words to my music, which is awesome. It's also why there's sort of like these daily random doses of chaos that just pop up in my life every once in a while, every couple of hours.

‘That can be kind of weird, but I have tools in place in my mind that help me navigate that and get back to true north when life feels so bizarre.

‘Those tools are my memories and the memories that I visit most frequently when I need to return back to some semblance of remembering what normalcy is and why I do this.’

Swift recalled spending time in the city writing songs after landing a publishing deal at the age of 14, joking: ‘I was like a sponge and I have really curly hair and it was yellow, so I kind of looked like a sponge.’
