NBC Sets New Year’s Eve Broadcast Lineup

New Year’s Eve is around the corner and NBC has revealed its broadcast offerings for anyone who will be near their televisions.

The night will kick off with an encore performance of the St. Denis episode “Salamat You Too,” which originally aired on November 26. At 8 p.m., Alex (Allison Tolman) accidentally provokes the Emergency Department’s mean girls. Ron (David Alan Grier) and Serena (Kahyun Kim) battle over parking etiquette. Bruce (Josh Lawson) has a hard time letting go of the spotlight. 

A repeat of the Night Court episode “The Judge’s Boyfriend’s Dad,” follows at 8:30 p.m. Suspecting Dan (John Larroquette) might be her boyfriend’s father, Abby (Melissa Rauch) does some investigating. A blast from Dan’s past resurfaces as the court’s new prosecutor. The episode originally aired on November 19.

The holiday programming begins following Night Court starting at 9 p.m. with A Toast To 2024! Today’s Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager ring in the new year as they host a primetime, star-studded special featuring the year’s buzziest and brightest moments.

At 11:30 p.m., The Day Drinking with Seth Meyers New Year’s Special will take viewers into the New Year. Meyers rings in 2025 by looking back on his many Day Drinking segments.  A release from the network encourages viewers to drink responsibly and asserts there will be plenty of segments he won’t be imbibing. Mostly, while hanging out with Rihanna, Post Malone, Will Forte, Kelly Clarkson, Kristen Stewart, Kevin Hart, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lizzo and Dua Lipa.

The night’s celebrations conclude with E! News Presents NBC’s Hot 10 of 2024 at 12:35 a.m. The end-of-year special hosted by E! News’ Justin Sylvester and Keltie Knight will highlight the biggest and most unforgettable moments of the year from the Olympics to award show trendsetters and the buzziest celebrity couples in addition to blockbuster films, television, music, sports, entertainment and more along with what to expect in 2025. 

Special appearances include Jimmy Fallon, Dolly Parton, Andy Cohen and more who will recount their favorite viral moments.
