Nadiya Bychkova has jetted off to Fuerteventura with her daughter Mila for a family getaway, weeks after she was 'axed' from Strictly's professional lineup.

The Ukrainian professional dancer, 36, who starred on the glitzy ballroom series for nine years, took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday to give fans a glimpse inside her sun-soaked holiday.

In one sweet snap, the mother-of-one slipped into a baby pink bikini as she beamed alongside her daughter, eight, while enjoying a day at their hotel pool.

The star looked radiant as she further accessorised her look with gold-framed shades and a floral hair clip.

Meanwhile, in another snap, Nadiya showcased her incredible figure in a stylish mustard-yellow two-piece bikini as she posed for a sweet poolside snap with her daughter.

During her holiday, the dancer also gave fans a glimpse at her lavish beachfront resort, sharing a snap of her hotel's large pool area.

Nadiya's sun-soaked vacation comes as she is reportedly in talks to join Strictly's backstage crew as a choreographer.

BBC fans have been left stunned in recent weeks as favourites Nadiya, Karen Hauer, 43, Michelle Tsiakkas, 30, Luba Mushtuk, 36, and Gorka Marquez, 35, have all been given the boot.

However, last week, Nadiya hinted at her 'new position' in a statement, revealing her role on the hit show is 'evolving' after nine years.

She wrote: 'After 9 wonderful years, this part of my journey with Strictly Come Dancing is evolving.

'There is something truly special about being part of a programme that plays such a big part in so many people’s lives and I want to thank all those who have sent beautiful messages over the last few weeks and those who have voted, shouted, supported, celebrated and cheered during every series.

'I also want to take a moment to appreciate all those who have helped me along the way: my partners, my fellow professionals, the judges and brilliant people behind the scenes.'

She continued: 'I joined the show as an athlete and a double world champion. Along the way I have learned so much about myself and other people. I have grown, not only professionally, but personally and creatively.

'Strictly has allowed me to discover new sides of myself, develop new skills, and evolve as an artist in ways I will always be grateful for.'

Nadiya revealed she is 'excited' to still be part of the 'Strictly world for many years to come' but in new way in which she is currently busy exploring.

She continued: 'This isn’t the end… I look forward to being part of the Strictly world for many years to come in ways I am beginning to explore.

'I’ve changed a lot since I first stepped onto that dance floor, not just as a performer, but as a person and I can honestly say I’ve never felt more like myself.

'I’m excited to have time to focus on new projects, and to spend more precious time with my beautiful daughter. Life feels full of possibilities.

'I danced before Strictly, I loved dancing on the show and I plan to keep dancing for many years to come. Thank you for all the love and support along the way'.

Since releasing her statement, it has been reported that BBC bosses felt it would be a 'real loss' to lose her from the Strictly family altogether.

A source told The Sun: 'Nadiya is so recognisable with viewers and bosses felt it would be a real loss to lose her from the Strictly family altogether. After a few conversations, they offered her a choreography role which she is very open to.

'Obviously, she is sad to no longer be dancing but recognises she will have great scope for more lucrative commercial opportunities now, and can explore exciting new projects.'

Daily Mail has contacted the BBC and Nadiya's representative for comment.

Last year, Nadiya was partnered with rugby player Chris Robshaw, but the pair were knocked out of the competition in week three.

She has also been partnered with Davood Ghadami, Lee Ryan, David James, Matt Goss, Dan Walker and Tom Dean over her nine-year stint.

Nadiya made it all the way to the quarter-finals with presenter Dan in 2021, the furthest she had made on the BBC show.

But she wasn't asked to be a part of the Strictly Live tour this year and has now been told that her time on the dancefloor is over.
