Elle Fanning Explains Why She Created an OnlyFans Account

Oh, snap! Jaime Pressly is on OnlyFans.

The My Name Is Earl alum launched her account May 7, joining a growing list of actresses creating content on the subscription-based platform known for hosting NSFW material.

As for why she joined OnlyFans?

"I’ve always believed in evolving with the times,” Pressly told Variety in a statement. “This is another way for me to connect directly with my audience, on my own terms, with creativity and intention."

"I’ve loved meeting fans at various Comic Cons," she continued, "and the excitement of having those real face to face moments made me want to seek options like OnlyFans."

The 48-year-old is following the footsteps of her longtime friend Shannon Elizabeth, who made her OnlyFans debut last month.

“I've spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career,” the American Pie actress told People in an April interview “This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”

She added, “I'm choosing OnlyFans because it allows me to connect directly with my audience, create on my own terms, and just be free. I really do think this is the future."

And Shannon's new venture is already paying off—literally. As the Creators Inc. CEO Andy Bachman recently confirmed to Variety, the 52-year-old "grossed seven figures in her first week on the platform."

At the time of her OnlyFans launch, Shannon also teased a collab with Jaime.

"Always nice crossing paths again and sharing a moment like this," she captioned an April 26 Instagram post featuring photos of the two together. "Such a beautiful human, inside and out. Hope we get to do it again soon."

Jaime reciprocated the love, writing in the comments section, "So happy we ran into each other and got to catch up and spend time together this weekend! Couldn’t be a more beautiful human my friend. Love you."

Upon launching her account in April 2026, the American Pie actress "grossed seven figures in her first week on the platform," according to Creators Inc. CEO Andy Bachman.

But money wasn't the reason why Shannon joined OnlyFans.

Jessie Cave

The Harry Potter alum announced in March 2025 she had joined the platform to focus on very niche and non-sexual content.

"It's very much geared toward people who have an interest or fetish with hair,” Jessie said on her Before We Break Up Again podcast. “I really am choosing to think of this as an empowering moment for me because I have been this very straight, prim actress for a lot of my career and this is very much a way of me saying, 'Okay, I'm doing something that is not normal. This is weird and me and a bit kinky. And why not?’"

Denise Richards

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum joined OnlyFans in 2022 after her daughter Sami Sheen—who she shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheenstarted her own account on the subscription-based platform known for hosting NSFW content.

"My daughter got a lot of backlash for opening the account," she told KTLA at the time. "I had heard of OnlyFans but I wasn't educated on what OnlyFans was and once I started to learn about it, I really think that the creators of the site really took the best of every platform of social media and put it into one site. You own your content. The other sites, they can sell your content."

Tyler Posey

The Teen Wolf star launched an OnlyFans account in late September 2020. However, he told E! News the following year that he found his career on the website "mentally draining."

"You really feel like an object on OnlyFans," he shared. "I'm trying my hardest to be artistic as possible with the content I put out 'cause I don't want it to just be porn, you know? That's not what I do and I don't want to take it away from the people that are doing that. I just want to be artistic and stay in touch with my fans."
