My intolerable efforts to become Rock Paper Shotgun's new Erotica Uncle proceed apace with Step 'n Smush, a free WIP browser game in which you play some extremely large women sexily stepping all over bustling 2D cities. You've got 70 seconds to squash as many buildings as you can, gaining size for every pedestrian you amorously flatten. It could be a mod for the original Grand Theft Auto; given a larger butt budget, it should be a mod for GTA 6.
Find it on Itch.io. Don't worry, people in public spaces/professional environments - this is pretty PG as kinky games go. In a teasing flourish, you can't actually see your own body, save for the momentary impressions of your enormous, shapely feet. The nearest you get to the grade of explicit material liable to rouse the censors is a groundpound (see above) that reminds me of the classic office photocopier prank, not that I would ever do anything so uncouth. We didn't even have a photocopier in the last office I worked in. We did have an old man living opposite who used to appear at his window in lingerie, but that's another story.
Step 'n Smush is the work of artist and game designer Kylie-GTS, who has spoken to There She Grows about his inspirations and wider journey through the world of macrophilia media. "I believe my first interest was a mix of growing up watching the 90s / 2000s cartoon kids shows and Godzilla films," the dev explains. "It grew in me to discover video games like Rampage (Original Arcade), 1983, when I discovered I liked seeing gal growing bigger. Lizzie was a video game character that I was in love with, haha. It led me to discover the internet for the first time, searching for Monster-Like games. That’s where I discovered StampyDragon‘s Dressup Rampage Animation over on DeviantArt. Yeah, how funny my love for video games led me to finding the Giantess Community for the first time."
I'm not much of a kaiju girl aficionado myself, but I like the bawdy comedy of Step 'n Smush and how it ensaucifies the top-down perspective. It makes me wonder how many fans of supernaturally vast ladies got there by way of SimCity's Godzilla button. I guess the obvious gateway drug for younger 'mainstream' players is Resident Evil Village? Actually, Alice Bell (RPS in peace) did entertain certain suspicions of Immortals Fenyx Rising.
