After the recent release of Mortal Kombat 2, fans of the franchise are feeling more optimistic than ever about its future on the big screen, with the film debuting to an overwhelming 90% Rotten Tomatoes score and technically setting a franchise record. Following the sequel's success, the franchise feels stronger and more unified than it has in years.
On the gaming side, NetherRealm has confirmed yet another Mortal Kombat title is in development, fueling excitement for the next evolution of the series, though no official details have been confirmed thus far. Warner Bros. clearly sees Mortal Kombat as a major multimedia franchise though, opening the door for more games, films, animated projects, and crossovers in the years ahead, and it's never been a better time to be an MK fan.
And with hype around Mortal Kombat at an all-time high, fans will want to mark their calendars for the exciting upcoming return of one of the franchise's most iconic characters, with Mortal Kombat: Jade slated for an early 2027 release (via X).
Mortal Kombat's Jade is making an official return in April 2027 with Iron Studios' release of a beautifully designed 1/10 scale statue depicting the character in stunning detail. The statue is available for pre-order now from Iron Studios for roughly $200 USD, standing 8.5 inches (roughly 21cm) tall and featuring the MK Klassic version of Jade as she appears in the early arcade "retro" era of the franchise.
The statue features Jade posing in a swamp-style setting inspired by her original locations, with skulls/skeletons on the ground and a brutal-looking stump, while Jade holds her iconic staff. You can take a look at the official statue design here:
Mortal Kombat fans looking to take their collection to the next level will definitely want to claim their Jade statues today, seeing as this is a limited-edition run at Iron Studios. Further, there are several other iconic Klassic-inspired statue designs of iconic characters available from Iron Studios as well, including Reptile, Mileena, Johnny Cage, and more.
The Jade statue is expected to ship between April and July of 2027, so there's a bit of a wait in store for collectors, though this lifelike, highly detailed statue is well worth the wait and will certainly be a head-turning centerpiece for any hardcore fans' libraries.
With hype around the Mortal Kombat franchise at an all-time high after the massive success of Mortal Kombat 2, collectible items like this are sure to be a hit among hardcore fans.
