Mortal Kombat Creator On Next Game And Bringing A Street Fighter Character To The Series

Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has offered a tease for the future of the game series and revealed that he wants to see a character from Street Fighter come to Mortal Kombat some day.

Speaking to Collider, Boon was asked to tease whatever NetherRealm has coming up next, whether that be the rumored Injustice 3, a new Mortal Kombat, or anything else. He said he would "probably get in trouble" if he did so, but he said, "We're definitely pursuing another Mortal Kombat game."

Beyond a new entry in the storied series, Boon said there are new things brewing "with other forms of media and whatnot" for the Mortal Kombat franchise. "So, we've got a lot of great announcements that are coming," he said.
