What to expect from Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone season 1
Call of Duty games typically introduce loads of new content in each season, and while Modern Warfare 4's first season doesn't quite have as much as Black Ops 7 did each season, there's still a lot to sink your teeth into. Three new maps are coming at launch, along with two new weapons and three modes. In a mid-season update, you can also expect two more maps and weapons.
In DMZ, the X01 location is being introduced, which is a "previously undiscovered weapons facility" north of the North Korean border, according to the official blog post. "It appears comprised of a dimly lit, labyrinthian network of passageways, tunnels, and linking chambers surrounding a clandestine weapons assembly line and other, more surprising locations."
Meanwhile, Modern Warfare 4 is being fully integrated into Warzone, which means Hajin — the DMZ map — is coming to the battle royale mode, along with all the MW4 weapons, equipment, and more. Zodiac is the name of a new Resurgence map coming, while both Verdansk and Rebirth Island are returning. All of this coincides with the launch of Warzone on Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
