Miranda Kerr's tech billionaire husband Evan Spiegel has revealed that he initially thought he had 'no chance' with the Australian supermodel upon meeting her.

The Snap Inc. CEO, 35, who married Miranda Kerr, 43, in 2017 after two years of dating, recently admitted he was reluctant to pursue her at first because he thought she wouldn't be interested.

'The spark was definitely there, but I thought I had no chance. I was like, "I really don't want to get heartbroken here",' Evan told the Tiger Sisters podcast.

He added that he initially sent her a message to introduce himself - and had to wait a month for her to respond.

'She messaged me and I was like, "Okay, maybe I really do have a chance". Our first date was at a yoga class. We are really going down memory lane here,' he added.

Evan said that Miranda helped him adjust to life in the public sphere, as she knew what to expect having spent so much of her life in it.

'One of the things that was so helpful was that she had grown up in the public eye from a young age. So, she was so used to the pressure, scrutiny and everything that goes along with that,' he said.

'It was so incredible to see her grace and poise in all these wild public situations.'

The pair married on May 27, 2017 after two years of dating.

On Thursday, Miranda marked their nine-year wedding anniversary by sharing a precious throwback photo to social media of her and Evan tenderly embracing.

'Nine years married to my love,' Miranda captioned the photo, adding a love heart emoji.

It comes after the model revealed the secret behind her successful marriage to her billionaire Snapchat CEO husband.

Speaking to Stellar magazine back in March last year, Miranda said that she and Evan 'balance and learn' from each other.

'I learn from him, he learns from me. We really do balance each other. We’ve been together for years and he's my favourite person,' she said.

Miranda went on to reveal something that had been very important in their relationship.

'He's such a family man. We prioritise each other and family time,' Miranda continued.

'That's why when you see us on the red carpet, everyone was like, "Wow, Miranda, you're out?" Honestly, Evan and I prefer to stay in. But every now and then, Mum and Dad have to get out, too.'

Miranda and Evan tied the knot in 2017 in an intimate wedding - with just 45 friends and family in attendance.

They share three sons together: Hart, seven; Myles, six; and Pierre, one.

Miranda also has a 14-year-old son, Flynn, from her previous marriage to Orlando Bloom.

The Sydney-born model rose to fame at the age of 13 after winning a Dolly Magazine modelling competition.

She then went on to become Australia's first Victoria's Secret Angel in 2007.
