Miley Cyrus has branded 'superfan' Alex Cooper 'kinda creepy' as she opened up at the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special in Hollywood on Monday.
The actress and singer, 33, playfully called out the Call Her Daddy podcaster, 31, for moving next door to her as she joked while on stage at the El Capitan Theatre to celebrate her beloved Disney Channel teen sitcom.
The Grammy-Award winning star thanked Alex, who hosted the special, for helping her bring the nostalgic anniversary to life after she 'creepily' moved in next door to her after interviewing her in her garden in August 2020.
Miley said: 'I wanted to thank Alex myself because I was driving out to the archives to go look what I had collected, some say hoarded but I say collected and preserved from every era and not just Hannah Montana but throughout my career.
'But I called her with this wild idea, "Do you think it could be a good idea to do a Hannah Montana anniversary special?" But because I was in the middle of it and was Hannah I didn't know what you would all want.
'Alex being a superfan... it's kinda creepy... she is also my neighbour, which is also creepy. She got money and then moved next door to me.'
The Disney alum joked: 'There was no other host, I was like I'll just walk next door, yeah it was weird.
'And she was like, "Oh my god you live here" and she had interviewed me at my house five years ago so she new where I was.'

The hit teen show followed Miley Stewart (Cyrus), a teenager living a secret double life as a famous pop star, Hannah Montana, while trying to keep a sense of normalcy as a high school student.
The show - which also starred her real-life father Billy Ray Cyrus - aired for four seasons from 2006 to 2011 and helped launch Cyrus's musical career.
The special - filmed in front of a live studio audience - is set to premiere on March 24, and will stream on both Disney+ and Hulu.
It will feature never-before-seen archival footage, performances of some of the show's iconic songs, and appearances from her parents Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray.
During the special, Miley looked happier than ever as she packed on the PDA with fiance Maxx Morando during a rare red carpet appearance together.
The couple, who have been together for four years, looked more loved-up than ever as they beamed for photos on the red carpet together.
Miley gave a nostalgic nod to her iconic character as she dazzled in a sparkling metallic dress with a graphic Hannah Montana T-shirt underneath.
The Grammy-winning superstar paired her sparkling look with silver metallic stilettos and wore her blonde hair in a straight style, cascading down her shoulders.
Meanwhile hunky musician Maxx, 27, rocked a white £423 Celine T-shirt with a pair of smart black trousers and kept comfortable in a pair of matching trainers.
Miley and Maxx first sparked up a romance in late 2021 following Miley's heartbreaking divorce from Liam Hemsworth, 35, who also recently got engaged.
The star was also supported by mom Tish, 58, who flaunted her trim midriff in a sheer black top paired with a blazer and jeans.
Tish was accompanied by husband Dominic Purcell, 56. The Prison Break hunk - who reportedly 'hooked up' with Tish's daughter Noah, 26, before beginning his relationship with her mother - opted for a relaxed look, wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and Converse sneakers.

Miley had a number of family members show up for her, including sister Brandi Cyrus, 38, who sizzled in a black leather top and matching pants.
Brandi's boyfriend, Matt Southcombe, was also in attendance, as well as Purcell's son, Joseph Purcell, 26, whom he shares with ex-wife Rebecca Williamson.
Monday's event was also attended by the show's other original cast members, including Jason Earles (who played Jackson Stewart), Moises Arias (Rico Suave), Cody Linley (Jake Ryan), Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (Ashley Dewitt) and Shanica Knowles (Amber Addison).
Emily Osment, who played Cyrus's best friend Lilly Truscott, missed the event.
Osment explained her absence in an Instagram post, sharing a video of her on set of CBS sitcom Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage alongside co-star Montana Jordan.
'And that's why I was not able to be a part of the 20 year reunion because we are here shooting our show,' she said. 'But I wanted to say hello and thank you to everybody that has stuck by us for all these years. I'm so grateful that you guys all still love this show. I'm so proud to be a part of it.'
In the caption of the video, she wrote, 'Hannah Montana changed my life, it gave me a lifelong respect for this medium of comedy, it taught me discipline, patience, timing and respect working in an adult space so young. I've met thousands of HM fans over the years, fans that now have children watching this show and fans that literally work beside me every day, like Montana. He's seen every episode, don't be fooled.'
'I can't tell you what your sweet messages mean to me and how lucky I feel to have been apart of this once in a generation goliath of a television show,' she went on.
'Thank you for letting me into your living rooms and I hope to still be there many years from now. Would never be where I am without you guys, working on another beautiful show I love so dearly. With all my heart, THANK YOU! ♥️ Lilly.'
According to a press release, the special event will 'celebrate the iconic series that defined a generation — exactly two decades after its Disney Channel debut.'
And the interview portion will 'offer an intimate look at the creation of one of pop culture’s most iconic characters and the lasting impact the show and character have had on fans around the world.'
The special will show Cyrus revisiting the music and iconic moments from the beloved children's show and some of the sets from it will even be brought back to life including Hannah Montana's closet and Stewart family living room.
Disney also promises that fans will also be able to view never-before-seen footage.
Of her involvement, Cyrus said in a statement: 'Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am. What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection.'
'The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m very proud of. This "Hannahversary" is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.'
