Fans quipped that Mike Myers appeared to be morphing into Steve Martin as the entertainer was seen at the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards on Sunday in Toronto.

The 62-year-old actor garnered comparisons to his comedic colleague, 80, on X as he posed on the red carpet at the CBC Broadcast Centre.

'I thought it was Steve Martin at first glance,' one fan said, while another asked, 'When did Mike Myers become Steve Martin?'

One user remarked, 'Mike Myers looks completely different now. Aging hit him hard, white hair and all.

'Fans saying he looks like Steve Martin or Baz Luhrmann. Time really changes everyone.'

Some users speculated on what might have caused the perceived changes in appearance to the Ontario, Canada native, who was presented with the Canadian  Academy's Icon Award Sunday.

Another speculated about celebrities in show business, 'They really need to stop with the plastic surgery. It’s getting weird.'

Myers on Sunday was presented by the Canadian Screen Awards after he was a leader in publicizing the phrase 'Elbows up' as a reply to U.S. President Donald Trump’s stated sentiments about annexing the country

Myers was emotional as he accepted the honors, praising Canada and a number of his colleagues and collaborators over the years.

'I had a whole speech written about how much I love Canada, but I suspect some of you might be sick of hearing that at this point,' he said.

He welled up with tears and he thanked his parents 'for moving to Canada and stressing the importance of being silly.'

Myers added, 'I just want to say, Canada, I don’t know what to say, dude. I’d just really be nothing without you.'

The Academy called Myers a 'legend' in an Instagram post recapping his speech, adding, 'We are honoured to present Mike Myers with the Academy Icon Award.'

Myers is the face of hit film franchises including Wayne's World, Austin Powers and Shrek.

He can currently be seen the hit film Michael, playing the role of Walter Yetnikoff. 

Myers stepped out for a rare red carpet appearance with his spouse Kelly Tisdale, 49, in April at the premiere of the musical biopic in LA. 

They are parents to three children: son Spike, 14, and daughters Sunday, 12, and Paulina, 10.
