Those who regularly switch between Apple products and PCs, there's good news for you. Microsoft announced on Wednesday that the company is rolling out the ability to share files between iPhone and a Windows 11 or Windows 10 PC, when the devices are connected via Phone Link and the Link to Windows app.

The iPhone must be running iOS 16 or higher, the Link to Windows app on the phone must be version 1.24112.73 or higher, the Phone Link version must be 1.24112.89.0 or higher, and the user must be registered for the Windows Insider Program.

Users who haven't used their iPhones with Phone Link will be offered file sharing during setup, and those who already have their iPhone paired with Phone Link can set up file sharing by going to aka.ms/addAccount on your PC.

Sharing the files from iPhones to PCs and vice versa seems fairly simple. On the iPhone, navigate to the files or set of files, tap the share icon, tap Link to Windows and then tap the device with which you want to share the file. Similarly, to share a file from a PC to an iPhone, select the file or files on the PC, right-click and choose Share, and select My Phone.
