Melbourne construction identity Mick Gatto has revealed he will appear on Karl Stefanovic's podcast in a bid to clear his name following allegations he is involved in financial crimes.
In recent months, Gatto has been linked to ongoing investigations into alleged corruption and financial crimes in Victoria's construction industry.
The allegations largely stem from claims surrounding the CFMEU and Victoria's multibillion-dollar 'Big Build' infrastructure projects.
Gatto, who is currently holidaying in Bali, addressed the controversy surrounding him on Friday in a video published by the Herald Sun, in which he appeared shirtless while relaxing poolside.
Gatto said he had fled overseas to escape what he described as 'false allegations'.
'Morning guys, I had to escape all these false allegations and innuendos and nonsense,' Gatto said in the clip.

If the interview goes ahead, it will mark the latest in a string of controversial tell-alls hosted by Stefanovic, who was dumped by Channel Nine following his explosive sit-down with British far-right commentator Tommy Robinson
'The government, the media and everyone going on about it, they've all jumped on the bandwagon saying there's corruption.
'And they can't get on the Big Build unless they go through me. All this nonsense is completely not true and I can prove it 100 per cent.'
Gatto then revealed he would soon sit down with Stefanovic on his controversial podcast.
'Can't wait to get on The Karl Stefanovic Podcast and have my say and tell the truth,' he continued.
'And everyone will be pleased and enlightened that all this stuff they go on about is not true. Cheers guys, look forward to speaking to you all soon.'

Gatto was arrested on June 3 after detectives from Victoria Police's Taskforce Hawk raided his Mount Martha home on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula as part of an investigation into alleged financial offences.
Police said a man and woman, both in their 70s - understood to be Gatto and his wife Cheryl - were taken into custody and questioned after officers executed a search warrant at the property.

Authorities reportedly seized financial documents, electronic devices and a knife during the operation.
Gatto later joked to reporters that the knife was merely a 'toothpick'.
After being released without charge later that day, Gatto dismissed the allegations as 'a load of crap' and sarcastically claimed the major police operation was 'over a speeding fine'.
His lawyer, Martin Amad, said no charges had been laid and insisted the matter did not relate to corruption in the building industry.
