Hollywood stardom might still be a pipe-dream, but Michelle Keegan suggested there was light at the end of the tunnel as she shared her latest Instagram content on Thursday.

The actress exuded the sort of glamour typically reserved for star-studded award shows while fulfilling her latest promotional commitment for Estée Lauder, shortly after returning from a working holiday in Los Angeles.

Sharing a video with social media followers, former Coronation Street star Keegan, 38, looked stunning in a elegant black off-the-shoulder dress while promoting the cosmetics brand's new, double-wear foundation.

The actress was filmed alongside her hairstylist and makeup artists as she prepared for the product's official launch party in Los Angeles.

Keegan is understood to be keen on developing a career in the United States after establishing herself as a hugely successful TV actress in Britain.

After finding fame as Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street, the actress won a broader fanbase through starring roles in hit dramas Our Girl, Ten Pound Poms and the long-running Sky show, Brassic

In 2024, she made her Netflix debut with a starring role in Fool Me Once, an eight-part serialisation of the bestselling novel by American author Harlan Coben.

And Coben may well provide the creative springboard for her transition from British star to global superstar, with Keegan tipped for a role in his latest crime thriller, Gone Before Goodbye - co-written with Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon.

Published in 2025, the novel focuses on Maggie McCabe, a renowned army combat surgeon who finds herself trapped in an insidious conspiracy she helped create but can’t understand.

Maggie searches for a truth that could expose a conspiracy woven throughout the exclusive world of the global Über Elite - but at an unfathomable personal cost.

After flying to Los Angeles for her latest promotional commitment in January, Keegan suggested she was linked to the forthcoming project by rubbing shoulders with Coben and Witherspoon in Hollywood.

The actress starred as Maya Stern in Fool Me Once, alongside Joanna Lumley, Emmett J. Scanlan and Richard Armitage.

The show became an instant hit for Netflix and quickly shot to the top of the streaming service's most watched chart worldwide.

Coben has previously praised Keegan's acting abilities talent and has previously confirmed he would be open to working with her again.

It's understood that Stern's death in Fool Me Once left the celebrated author 'kicking himself' and seeking a plot, no matter how far-fetched, that could see her reprise her role in the second instalment.

A source close to Keegan previously told the Daily Mail: 'Michelle and Harlan really bonded during the Fool Me Once filming and he thinks she's amazing.

'He believes Michelle is a big part of the show's stratospheric success.

'They were having a real heart to heart at the National Television Awards recently and Harlan was saying that he was absolutely gutted that he killed off her character and that he'd do anything to bring her back from the dead so that they can have a much-longed for sequel.'
