Melanie Griffith looks slender in all black as she shares post about Trump stealing election

Melanie Griffith was spotted on a rare night out on Wednesday, showing off her slender frame in a casual all-black outfit

The Hollywood icon, 68 - who just threw a star-studded bash for her mom Tippi Hedren’s 96th birthday - kept things low-key for her solo stroll in Los Angeles.

Griffith paired a black henley with skintight leggings and Birkenstocks  - a far cry from the red carpet glamour she’s known for, like last August’s chic white suit moment with daughter Dakota Johnson at a film premiere.

But the real buzz came hours later, when she shared a fiery political Instagram clip.

She posted a video of Senator Chris Murphy calling out President Trump, warning he’s 'getting ready to try to steal the November election.'

Griffith also posted a clip of Kamala Harris with the caption: 'And this is why she will be president in 2028.'

The divisive post comes after Griffith opened up her Hollywood home to celebrate her mom’s big milestone.

In January, Hedren, the legendary star of Alfred Hitchcock classics The Birds and Marnie, was spotted for the first time in public as the guest of honor at Melanie’s house.

The party marked the first time Hedren had been seen out and about since it emerged she is suffering from dementia and can no longer recall her career.

The grandmother of Dakota Johnson appeared in good physical shape, walking without the aid of a wheelchair, walker, or cane.

As she navigated a set of stars, she linked hands with a man believed to be her grandson Alexander Bauer, 40 - Melanie’s son with her second husband Steven Bauer, who came between her two marriages to Don Johnson.

Hedren’s representatives confirmed her dementia diagnosis in February 2024, telling Spanish journalist Gustavo Egusquiza that she was 'no longer able to be interviewed due to health reasons.'

They added: ‘She has dementia, and is unable to remember her career at all. She just turned 94, so unfortunately, time has taken its toll.'

Just a few months before Hedren’s birthday, Melanie and Antonio Banderas’ daughter Stella del Carmen Banderas tied the knot in Spain. 

In October, Stella, 29, wed her childhood sweetheart Alex Gruszynski at the Retuerta Le Domaine Abbey, an old monastery that sits on a sprawling wine estate in Valladolid, Spain.

Antonio and Melanie welcomed Stella in 1996 - the same year they tied the knot - and went on to separate in 2014, with their divorce finalized the following year. 

Melanie was previously married to Don Johnson, with whom she shares Dakota, 36, and also has Alexander, 40, with Steven Bauer.

Despite their divorces, Melanie has remained close with both ex-husbands over the years.
