Mel B, 51, shows off her youthful glow as she returns to her Spice Girls roots with a band T-shirt and Wannabe bag

Mel B paid homage to the Spice Girls by wearing band merchandise to filming America's Got Talent in Pasadena, California on Tuesday. 

The singer, 51, showed off her youthful glow as she arrived to join her fellow judges, Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel. 

Scary Spice wore a T-shirt which had the lyrics 'so here's the story from A to Z' from the band's hit song Wannabe across the front with a matching tote bag. 

Mel had cut out the back of the T-shirt to reveal the dragon tattoo on her shoulder blade and also wore camouflage trousers and white trainers. 

The judge later revealed on her Instagram that when she returned home the power had gone out due to having the air conditioning on too high.  

The 21st series of America's Got Talent started last week and airs on Tuesdays. 

Earlier this month, Mel B wished Geri a happy 54th birthday on Thursday, a month after Ginger Spice blocked her. 

They famously fell out in 2019 after Mel B said she and Geri Halliwell had a sexual, one-night encounter during the height of the Spice Girls' Nineties fame.

Sharing throwback pictures of them throughout the years, Mel wrote: 'Happy Birthday to my SPICE SISTER Geri,' with a love heart emoji. 

The small but meaningful gesture sent fans into a frenzy as they wrote in the comments: 'I hope you guys find your way back the world misses you'; 'You better bring the Spice Girls back together. You're the only ones who can do it'; and 'The best duo. We miss you.' 

The root of the feud can be traced back to the Nineties, when the band were at the height of their fame.

Less than two years after Wannabe topped charts in 1996, Geri announced she'd had enough and confirmed her departure from the group in May 1998 in the middle of their world tour.

Her shock decision to leave at the peak of their fame and right before their concerts in the US was never going to go down well, but her move to quit on Mel B's birthday especially hit a nerve.

Scary Spice didn't mince her words in a subsequent TV interview, saying: 'When Geri left the group, it was bad. She left on my birthday and didn't tell anybody. She didn't show up. We had the American part of the tour to continue.'

Mel's ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar later said that Scary Spice was particularly hurt because they were 'really, really close'.

In 2019 Mel B caused upset by revealing on Piers Morgan's Life Stories that she and Geri enjoyed a lesbian fling during the band's Nineties heyday.

Sources close to Geri said the singer was 'livid' following Mel B's claims and after a week of silence, responded to Mel B's comments with a statement denying her version of events.

Scary Spice was slammed for using 'lesbianism as a PR strategy' ahead of their reunion tour and following Geri's reaction, attempted to backpedal on her story.

The women have also reportedly squabbled in recent years over Geri's new 'la-di-da' image, which tends to rub Leeds-born Mel up the wrong way.

Just as things seemed to have simmered down between the Spice Girls, Mel B sparked Geri's wrath a couple of years ago when she claimed the singer was lying about her age.

Amid the ongoing feud, Geri was then said to have pulled the plug on plans for a new Spice Girls tour.

The group had been in discussions about another run of dates and had even made contact with Victoria about a possible cameo appearance – with the band excited about replicating the success of their last shows.

But insiders say a bitter rift between Geri and Mel had driven a wedge between the group and Geri opted to walk away entirely.
