We know Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming back—and now we know who our next batch of dead meat criminals will be.
Before and during the weekend, CD Projekt Red and Netflix pulled back the curtain on the upcoming anime. Things started on Thursday, June 25 with Weak Kingsley, a longtime Edgerunner once “at the top of his game” and now “living in the shadow of his former glory.” On Friday, June 26, we got D, a Netrunner for the Snake Nation nomad group that once owned the Bakkers (V’s family if you choose the Nomad path in Cyberpunk 2077). Where King’s washed up, D is a young man looking for the killer that took out his clan.
Saturday, June 27 brought us Roman Carax, a young cinephile documenting what’s going on in Night City. (Interestingly, Edgerunners writer Bartosz Sztybor described him as a “love letter to cinema,” and later confirmed he was inspired by Rocket, the main character from the 2002 film City of God.) And finally, we got Talia Yang on Sunday, June 28, a woman from the Corpo side of life “[whose] heart belongs to chrome and violence.” There’s other silhouettes in the character art below, but this appears to be the show’s main leads.
From corpo towers to the chrome-forged edge. 🦾

At time of writing, we don’t know who’s voicing these characters or what’s bringing them together—that’s what the trailer’s for. But the fandom’s just glad to have more info on the sequel series and figuring out who’ll bite it. We’ll find out who’s done for when Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II hits Netflix this fall.
