There are few team-ups in comic books as popular as the pairing of Deadpool and Wolverine. These two characters are so popular together that they even got a billion-dollar movie together. With these two characters teaming up again, it's no surprise that they even created a new ridiculous combo attack.
The destructive combo attack of Wolverine and Deadpool was first revealed in the opening of Deadpool/Wolverine #1 by Benjamin Percy and Joshua Cassara. In this story, Deadpool and Wolverine seem to be launching an attack on a base. Naturally, this doesn't go completely according to plan, as it seems Deadpool decides to reveal his new idea for a combo attack.
While it's difficult to tell exactly what has happened due to the lack of dialogue, it seems that the two argue. This results in Deadpool shooting Wolverine several times, before throwing him out of the plane, jumping out himself, and letting the plane crash into the enemy base, causing a large amount of destruction and announcing the heroes arrival.

Wolverine Has Tons Of Combo Moves, But None Like This
Deadpool/Wolverine #1 by Benjamin Percy and Joshua Cassara
One of the most iconic combo moves that Wolverine has is the fastball special, which he uses typically along with Colossus. This includes Colossus, or any suitably strong teammate, picking up Wolverine and just throwing him as hard as they can at the current enemy. While this attack seems simple, it's unbelievably effective. Wolverine is an incredibly dangerous combatant, but only when he's at close quarters. Wolverine has virtually no ranged attacks, and he's not particularly mobile, as he doesn't have super speed or even enhanced agility. The fastball special attack makes up for these weaknesses.
It's not particularly surprising that Deadpool's version of a combo attack involves shooting Wolverine several times.
Unfortunately for everyone, Deadpool isn't someone who tends to think things through. While the fastball special makes a lot of sense from a tactical standpoint, it doesn't usually involve massive explosions. Because of this, it's not particularly surprising that Deadpool's version of a combo attack involves shooting Wolverine several times, throwing him out of a plane several hundred feet in the air, and then crashing their shared plane into the target. But that's exactly why Wolverine and Deadpool make such a perfect team-up, because their aggressive healing factor allows them to just get back up after.
Wolverine And Deadpool Are A Perfect Team-up
Even If Their Special Combo Could Use Some Work
Wolverine is immensely popular and has been teamed up with plenty of characters. But Wolverine always tends to find his way back to Deadpool, and one of the biggest reasons for this is both their healing factors and opposite personalities. Wolverine can be a character of few words and is usually deadly serious. Deadpool never stops talking and always makes a joke about anything. The fact they both have absurd healing factors means Wolverine and Deadpool can do ridiculous things together that no one else can, like a combo attack that involves launching a plane directly into an enemy base, something that's even too absurd to appear in their movie.
Deadpool/Wolverine #1 is on sale from Marvel Comics on January 1st!
Wolverine
The human mutant Wolverine (a.k.a. Logan) was born James Howlett, blessed with a superhuman healing factor, senses, and physiology. Subjecting himself to experimentation to augment his skeleton and claws with adamantium, Logan is as deadly as he is reckless, impulsive, and short-tempered. Making him the X-Men's wildest and deadliest member, and one of Marvel Comics' biggest stars. He's played in Fox and Marvel's movie franchises by Hugh Jackman.
Deadpool
The merc with the mouth first appeared in an issue of New Mutants in 1990, and since then has gone on to get his own series and a massive cult following. With his incredible powers of healing and regeneration, Deadpool was initially depicted as an X-Men villain but went on to become an anti-hero. After getting his own movie series starting in 2016, the third Deadpool movie finally brings the wisecracking, fourth-wall-breaking character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
