NetEase has just revealed that winter is coming in Marvel Rivals, and Jeff the Landshark is getting his very own 4v4 game mode. Jeff the Shark has been making a splash since the launch of the hero shooter earlier this month, with memes being created almost daily. The event will kick off on December 20, and will only be around for a limited time.
In the latest announcement from NetEase, they state that there will be a new 4v4 arcade with Jeff the Shark taking center stage. The mode is titled Jeff's Winter Splash Festival, and this mode is described as a Splatoon-like experience, where players will become Jeff and paint the map to the best of their ability. While the details are currently quite sparse, there has been the revelation that new costumes will be coming as well.

Jeff The Shark Gets His Own Game Mode & Holiday Costume
Alongside the new 4v4 game mode comes new costumes for several heroes, including Venom, Groot, Rocket the Raccoon, Magik, and, of course, Jeff. This is the very first seasonal event in Marvel Rivals since launch and the amount of content being brought to the title has fans excited. A recent Reddit post from Finescoop17 showcases an X post that gives some a breakdown of the new event. It also mentions that Jeff's latest costume will be free this time around.

Which Marvel Rivals character is currently the most "broken"?
There are so many great heroes and villains to choose from in Marvel Rivals. However, some characters are considered to be way too powerful and more "broken" than others. I feel as though Iron Fist sits at the top of the list of characters that desperately need a nerf, though Jeff the Land Shark isn't far behind (as cute as he is).
The comments on the thread all show excitement about what's to come, but of course, the developers deciding to show off Venom's curves has fans talking. One comment from ObeseBumblebee states, "Gamers: We want our video game characters to be sexy again! Netease: Gotchu fam.*gives us Venom cake*." It is an odd choice to give a glimpse of the character's backside, but apparently fans are more than happy with the image.
Our Take: Jeff The Shark Is Truly Making A Splash In Marvel Rivals
Players Love To Hate Or Hate To Love Jeff
Jeff the Shark has been the talk of the town since launch, and fans either love the adorable hero or cannot stand him. His ultimate has been a point of contention since the title was released, as swallowing up the opposition and dolphin diving off the map for a team kill is a bit overpowered to some. A post from MeatloafAndWaffles agrees that Jeff can be a bit much with his ult, asking for the ability to button mash out of it.
Jeff is a great character overall, with strong healing, intense splash damage, as well as the ability to traverse the map with ease thanks to his mobility. This new event will definitely be interesting to see and play. The event starts in just a few days, and as a Marvel Rivals fan myself, I cannot wait to dive in as Jeff and make a splash around the map.
