Fortune & Colors is a special, limited-time event in Marvel Rivals that allows you to earn free rewards by participating in a new mode. As part of the Spring Festival, this event has several cosmetics you can earn for free. Like other content from past events, you must complete certain goals throughout Fortune & Colors to gain everything offered.
There are a lot of similarities between the Fortune & Colors event and Season 1's primary ongoing event. The Season 1 Midnight Features event in Marvel Rivals has a series of tiers you can complete by finishing various missions. Fortune & Colors will likely be structured the same way, with both events featuring a unique character's skin as their primary reward.
Fortune & Colors Start And End Dates
Participate While The Event Lasts
The Fortunes & Colors event starts on January 23rd, 2025, and ends on February 14th, 2025. The entire Spring Festival takes place near the halfway point of Season 1, where characters like the Human Torch and The Thing are expected to be added alongside their Fantastic Four counterparts.

Marvel Rivals: How To Play Mr. Fantastic (Abilities, Ultimate, Tips & Tricks)
Knowing how to use Mr. Fantastic's character in Marvel Rivals requires knowing how to use his abilities and ultimate so you can dominate the game.
The multiple weeks you have to engage with this event will take place whenever you log into the game. However, you'll have to go through an update to apply a patch on January 22nd, 2025 that implements several bug fixes and changes to some characters. Similar to the major Season 1 patch in Marvel Rivals, the properties of some character abilities will be adjusted to fix well-known bugs.
The bug fixes in the January 22nd patch do not buff nor nerf any character in Marvel Rivals. They only fix specific issues, such as problems with certain skills impacting destructible environments, movement, or unique transformations.
Notably, the start and end dates for Fortune & Colors may not apply to event skins left in the Store. Like the Winter Festival event, some themed skins may remain in the shop for you to purchase long after the end date of the Spring Festival. That being said, the bundles for those skins will disappear eventually, unlike many of the cosmetics that remain in any Battle Pass you get.
Clash Of Dancing Lions Mode & Rewards
Earn Danqing To Start Collecting Rewards
Fortunes & Colors revolves around a new mode called "Clash of Dancing Lions," a soccer/football-inspired gametype where two teams of three players compete against each other. Using Star-Lord, Iron Fist, and Black Widow, teams try to score the most goals to win matches during this mode. The unique mobility of the available characters here will lead to chaotic and competitive duels that will test teamwork and coordination.
Those who remember "Jeff's Wintery Splash" event in Marvel Rivals will recognize how rewards work in Fortunes & Colors. To gain rewards, you must complete missions to gather a unique resource named Danquing to fill a vibrant illustration with color. This is similar to how you collected Gold and Silver Frost currencies during the 4v4 Jeff only mode in the Winter Festival to fill out a special postcard.

Two New Hero Skins Have Hit Marvel Rivals, & Fans Will Be Excited To See These Characters Highlighted
The devs of Marvel Rivals have introduced two new hero costumes today, highlighting both Mantis and Dr. Strange in the Immortal Dragon saga.
The amount of Danqing you get is likely tied to which goals you complete within the Clash of Dancing Lions mode. For example, you may need to score a number of goals as Iron Fist to earn Danqing. This magical dye is used to earn two major rewards, which include:
- Clash of Dancing Lions Gallery Card
- Lion's Mane (Star-Lord Skin)
The ultimate reward here is the Star-Lord skin, a new look for the character that you can earn 100% free. Like the free skin in Marvel Rivals for Jeff the Land Shark from the last event, you will have to fill out different parts of the Clash of Dancing Lions illustration with Danqing to earn parts of the skin bundle. You will be able to gain a nameplate, emote, spray, and eventually the skin itself by climbing through reward tiers.
The Clash of Dancing Lions mode does not let you earn the Black Widow or Iron Fist skins tied to the Fortunes & Color event. These are purchased for Units or Lattice within Marvel Rivals' in-game store.
You may be able to achieve some goals and earn Danqing in other modes, such as Quick Play or matches vs AI opponents. While you may not have to play Clash of Dancing Lions to earn every reward in the Fortunes & Color Spring Festival event in Marvel Rivals, the new mode offers the fastest route.
