The first official Season of content for Marvel Rivals includes a new Battle Pass, with several cosmetic rewards you can get by spending purple Chrono Tokens. Once you purchase the Battle Pass, you gain access to new character skins, emotes, MVP animations, and more. Even those who don't spend money can still earn some of the items within the Pass, but only from a limited selection.
There are two versions of the Battle Pass, the Free Edition and the Luxury Battle Pass. You automatically have the free version of the Pass and can start earning the items associated with it as soon as Season 1 starts on January 10th, 2025. However, those who spend 990 Lattice (the Gold currency) to buy the Luxury Battle Pass will have more rewards to earn as Season 1 continues.
1,000 Lattice can be bought through Marvel Rivals' in-game store for around $10. Depending on how much Lattice you already have, you may be able to spend less money to get the amount you need for the Luxury Battle Pass.
How To Earn Items From The Seasonal Battle Pass
Complete Daily Missions And Weekly Goals
The only way to get items from the Battle Pass is to spend Chrono Tokens, the purple currency in Marvel Rivals. Along with Gold Lattice and Blue Units, Chrono Tokens are the most common currency you can earn by simply playing the game. You receive Tokens for finishing Daily and Weekly objectives, which can include:
Dealing Damage With Specific Characters
Winning A Number Of Matches
Performing An Amount Of Healing
Getting KO Streaks
These are only a few examples of what missions you may have. You can view your available goals through the "Season" menu, which is how you also access the Battle Pass itself. From here, select the "Missions" option to figure out which goals you need to complete to earn various amounts of Chrono Tokens throughout Season 1.

Both Daily and Weekly missions refresh after some time, but you can refresh certain missions that are hard to complete. For example, one mission may want you to deal 15,000 damage with a character you're unfamiliar with. Instead of trying to learn a complicated new hero or villain, you can opt to refresh that mission into something you are more likely to complete quickly.
Unfortunately, Chrono Tokens in Marvel Rivals that you earned in Season 0 do not carry over into Season 1. The amount of this currency will reset to 0 once the Season begins.
The contents of the Season 1 Battle Pass are called the Darkhold, referring to a poweful magical artifact from Marvel Comics. The Battle Pass is anticipated to last three months, giving both free and Luxury Pass owners plenty of time to earn its many rewards.

There are 11 pages of the Season 1 Battle Pass, with each containing multiple items as rewards. Items range from 200-400 Chrono Tokens each in price, with skins usually being the most expensive cosmetics. Similar to Season 0, you have to earn a certain number of Chrono Tokens to access later pages of the Battle Pass.
Skins are the most prominent pieces of the Battle Pass, but you can't get a skin until you unlock everything on a page. The only exception to this is the first skin offered through the purchase of the Luxury Battle Pass - the All-Butcher skin for Loki in Marvel Rivals.
