Marvel Rivals has plenty of complex characters, but Cloak & Dagger may be one of the heroes with the most unique spread of abilities shared across two distinct forms. Both Cloak and Dagger can swap out from each other on the battlefield, freely switching skills at any time. Utilizing both light and darkness, Cloak & Dagger can heal allies and damage foes in equal measure, making them a versatile Strategist.
Strategists are supportive characters alongside damaging Duelists and tank-like Vanguards, but this role is approached differently by Cloak & Dagger. How To Use Cloak & Dagger's Ultimate
Combine Forms To Change The Battlefield
Cloak & Dagger's Ultimate is called Eternal Bond, which sees the two characters appear simultaneously. You can perform three rapid dashes for a limited time , creating paths that heal allies and damage foes who stand within them. This is a great way to create hazardous terrain for enemy teams and blessed ground for your allies, altering a map in ways that you choose.
One of the best ways to use Cloak & Dagger's Ultimate is to place your paths near a choke point , where you know many enemies and allies alike will gather to pursue an objective.
This Ultimate is perfect for contesting an objective, making it much harder for enemy teams to stay within certain areas. Eternal Bond can create a large AoE, blocking the paths of characters with few mobility skills, such as Doctor Strange in Marvel Rivals. Furthermore, it can heal teammates who are in low health far faster than even Dagger's other healing abilities.
Best Team Composition For Cloak & Dagger
Lend Your Strength To Another
The main character that pairs well on a team with Cloak & Dagger is Moon Knight, who gains an extra ability when helping the light and dark duo. Whenever Cloak & Dagger are united with Moon Knight, the Hand of Khonshu gains the "From Shadow To Light" Team-Up ability. Cloak & Dagger inject light and dark energy into Moon Knight, allowing him to use an additional ability in battle.
With this Team-Up in Marvel Rivals, Moon Knight can create an aura of light and darkness to make himself invisible for as long as it's active. This gives the Duelist character better chances to score eliminations on the enemy team, taking the pressure off Cloak & Dagger. While both Cloak and Dagger can individually score kills, characters like Moon Knight have an easier time doing so with the buff given by the duo Strategist character.

Having two Strategists on your team is a great way to keep your allies alive, but Cloak & Dagger may need help surviving themselves. The Punisher is the best Duelist besides Moon Knight to have with Cloak & Dagger, as they are easier to support than other mobile heroes and villains. While someone like Iron Man in Marvel Rivals will be hard to target with healing effects, the Punisher is stationary a lot of the time. This makes it easier for Cloak & Dagger's buffs to reach him during chaotic fights on the battlefield.

Stay Elusive And Disruptive
Cloak & Dagger is one of the most complex characters to play in Marvel Rivals, as you have to constantly juggle abilities in both forms at the same time. A great strategy for this character is to remember which abilities are on cooldown, as these recovery times are shared between Dagger and Cloak. Dagger is designed to heal allies, while Cloak is meant to get eliminations and debuff opponents.
Dagger's healing aura from Dagger Storm can heal both her and Cloak, so use your healing abilities on yourself as much as on your allies. When including their skills for their survival as well as their team's, Cloak & Dagger can be one of the hardest Strategists for enemy teams to take down. Similar to Luna Snow in Marvel Rivals during her Ultimate, Cloak & Dagger work best when they can last longer during fights.
Keep in mind that Cloak's Dark Teleportation ability can prevent him and any allies near him from being stunned by powerful attacks, such as Spider-Man or Doctor Strange's Ultimate moves.
One of the most underrated tools from Cloak & Dagger's moveset is Cloak's Terror Cape ability. While you may only use this to damage enemies at first, you can use this to Blind them as well, causing certain properties of enemy skills to fail. For example, Star-Lord's auto-targeting Ultimate in Marvel Rivals can no longer find enemies to hit when he's been blinded by Cloak's ability.
Based on evolving situations, you should try to keep allies up while disrupting opponents as much as possible. Causing enemy teams to panic can help you win wars of attrition, especially during the last moments of a round where everyone's fighting over an objective. Cloak & Dagger's abilities in Marvel Rivals are incredibly flexible for a variety of circumstances, so it may take time to figure out how to use everything they can do effectively.
