Iron Man has had almost everything he holds dear taken away from him; although he gained it back with great effort, he's about to be deprived of control of his company once more. During the Fall of X, Tony Stark lost his company in a hostile corporate takeover, led by members of mutant-hating organization Orchis. Now, Stark Unlimited is being usurped once more, this time by the Roxxon Corporation.
Iron Man #3 – written by Spencer Ackerman, with art by Julius Ohta – is the final installment of the “Stark-Roxxon War.” Since regaining Stark Unlimited, Tony has been combating the company board’s decision to merge his company with Roxxon and A.I.M.
Despite the many years of villainy that have defined both Roxxon and A.I.M., the board agrees to go through with the sale. Soon, all three companies will be unified, cornering the world’s energy and weapons markets, all while the broken, beaten down Tony Stark struggles to hold onto what little he has left.

Backed by the corporate terrorist Justine Hammer, and another mystery benefactor, Stark Unlimited is about to sell itself out to the highest bidders. Tony doesn’t hold the majority of the shares anymore, meaning his decision as Tony Stark means nothing. However, that doesn’t stop Iron Man from doing his job as a hero. Stark has his work cut out for him though. The last time readers saw the hero, he was without his quality armor, forced to build a new suit from scraps thanks to A.I.M.’s mystical connections.

Face It: Marvel's Best Iron Man Is In the Comics And Here's 10 Reasons Why
Marvel fans love to debate whether the MCU portrayal of Iron Man is better than the comic source material; here are 10 reasons that's not the case.
While the corporations have tried to push Stark into a corner, this isn’t the same Tony Stark from before the fall of the mutant nation of Krakoa. This version of the hero has lost everything, and he's angry about it. With nothing left to lose, Iron Man isn’t holding back, willing to crush everything Roxxon and A.I.M. throw at him with ingenuity and pure rage. However, to make matters worse, the corporate collective picked an awful name for their new company: Starxxon. While “Stark Unlimited” isn’t exactly subtle, Starxxon feels pretty cheap for the world’s richest companies.

Is Time Running Out, Or Is Tony Just Getting Started?
Spencer Ackerman's Iron Man features a different type of Iron Man than readers have seen in the past; every fear, mistake, and failure Stark has faced in the past is being thrown at him at once. As this series promised, Iron Man has stopped holding back. He almost sounds delirious at times, crashing through windows wearing nothing but a tank top and pants, to meetings he wasn’t “invited” to. He’s almost feral. What this issue of the series promises, is a chance for Tony Stark to pull himself together.
The "Stark-Roxxon war" arc might be soon to conclude, but with no clear ending in sight, only Iron Man has what it takes to save not just his company, but his legacy.
With the teased reveal that there is a secret fourth party responsible for spearheading the acquisition efforts, Iron Man may only have one target in need of defeating. Justine Hammer, the current Iron Monger, has a secret that could threaten the entire corporate affair. And now, Tony Stark has all the motivation and ferocious drive to leverage both reveals in his favor.
