Married At First Sight season 18’s Ikechi Ojoré’s behavior has been particularly difficult throughout the experiment, and his actions toward his MAFS bride prove the show doesn’t care about its cast. Ikechi, who applied to be a cast member on Married At First Sight twice before being accepted to MAFS season 18, was someone that viewers were wary of prior to the season. Ikechi’s red flags, especially his long history with MAFS, have been abundant since early in the season, but have only made things difficult on Married At First Sight season 18 in recent episodes of the Chicago season.

While Ikechi and Emem Obot seemed like they’d be a great fit during the MAFS season 18 matchmaking special, the couple were certain to have some differences going into their new relationship. Emem, who was looking for someone she could share values with, has been doing a great job building the foundation of her marriage with Ikechi. Unfortunately, Ikechi has been struggling to handle his side of the relationship, making things tough when he comes to Emem with complaints and issues he doesn’t actually want to share. Ikechi’s strange behavior has made the MAFS casting team look worse than ever.

Ikechi Has Been Trying To Get On MAFS For Years

He’s Not New To The Casting Team

Although Ikechi is a member of the Married At First Sight season 18 cast, he’s been trying to be part of the show for several years. Trying out for more than one season, Ikechi’s been on the casting team’s radar for years. With Ikechi looking to be part of the show so many times, seeing him finally appear on the series has been interesting for viewers, as his repeated interest could be seen as a clout-chasing or attention-seeking tactic.

Ikechi’s behavior this season has made it evident why his previous auditions for Married At First Sight didn’t work out. While he tried out for a season in Charlotte and another season in Atlanta in the past, Ikechi’s time on the MAFS season 18 cast has ingratiated him with the Chicago cast. His behavior, however, has mad him stand out as a casting mistake throughout the season.

Ikechi's Red Flags Have Been Abundant

He’s Not The Person He Presents As

Although Ikechi hasn’t had just one red flag on Married At First Sight season 18, there’s one thing that’s been standing out amongst the other issues as the primary problem. While Ikechi’s consistent issues surrounding clout-chasing and attention-seeking have been a big problem for MAFS viewers, his recent actions toward Emem have been odd. Ikechi has been making false claims about Emem being sexually aggressive in their relationship, then backtracking to say he was lying. After doing this twice, it’s clear Ikechi has issues he needs to work through before he can be trusted to tell the truth on MAFS.

Ikechi's Behavior Shouldn't Be Acceptable For MAFS

He Shouldn’t Be Part Of The Show

Although Ikechi has been exhibiting behaviors that have made MAFS viewers uncomfortable, the recent lying he’s been doing has been strange for viewers and his fellow cast members alike. Ikechi’s behavior has been odd and overwhelming, leaving many feeling like he shouldn’t be part of the series at all. Whether his casting was a failing of the producers, casting team, or both, Ikechi’s behavior on Married At First Sight has been unacceptable and left viewers hoping he’ll leave the series soon. After behaving so disappointingly, Ikechi should be removed for Emem’s sake, as he’s been throwing her under the bus.

Married At First Sight airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
