Pregnant former Married at First Sight bride Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Sobinoff has revealed a recent debilitating health condition.
The 32-year-old took to her social media on Monday to share gruesome photos of her right eye swollen shut.
After first believing the problem was conjunctivitis, Lizzie said she was alarmed to learn from doctors her eyelid was infected by cold sores.
In her accompanying caption of the Instagram post, she said the condition could lead to serious issues.
'The beginning of last week started off with knowing I was rundown but I was powering through,' she said in the post.
'Then as the week progressed, my eye swelled shut and I thought ''conjunctivitis" which I don’t think I’ve ever had before.

'[A] doctor's appointment and a swab later, I have cold sores in my eyelid and what looks to be a secondary infection, the swab didn’t indicate conjunctivitis.
'Antibiotics and antivirals and rest is what I need.
'Cold sores in the actual eye can be very serious and lead to very serious complications.
'Listen to your body folks!!! The doctor's told me it’s because I’m extremely rundown.'
According to the NHS website, symptoms of a cold sore in the eye include pain, a swollen eyelid and blisters around the eye.
A viral infection, a cold sore in the eye is known as 'eye herpes' or 'ocular herpes' (herpes simplex virus-1, HSV-1).
If untreated it can lead to vision loss, scarring and corneal ulcers.
Lizzie's health episode comes after she announced in January she was expecting.

Lizzie announced the birth of her first child - a baby girl - in November 2023.
Announcing the joyous arrival via Instagram, she two photos of herself and Alex cuddling their bundle of joy in hospital.
'8.11.23. I have never been happier. My everything. A love so strong. Pure bliss,' Lizzie captioned the heartwarming images.
She chose not to reveal the name of her little girl.
Elizabeth married engineer Alex in January 2024 and had been dating him since late 2021.
She rose to fame on MAFS in 2019 when she was paired with groom Matt Ball.
Lizzie came back to the experiment the following year and found happiness with her groom Seb Guilhaus.
The pair split after dating a year.
