Married At First Sight's Bec Zacharia has been accused of Photoshopping images of herself to appear bigger.

The 35-year-old bride has spent most of her life battling a cruel inner voice, admitting that she once viewed herself through a brutally negative lens.

In the past year, Bec says she has lost 27kg and embraced a new lifestyle that included a keto diet before pivoting to Pilates and weight training.

A series of 'before' images were shown during Wednesday night's episode of MAFS, including one of Bec lounging on a sunbed at a beach club while on vacation in Bali.

But several fans weren't buying it, with some sleuths taking to Reddit to uncover photos of Bec from the same holiday where she appeared noticeably slimmer than in the photo aired by MAFS.

'Her weight loss photos are photoshopped,' someone accused her on Reddit.

'These two photos are taken the exact same day, but the MAFS version has been photoshopped to make her bigger.'

'Did she not think people would check her old Instagram posts and realise that she photoshopped this?' someone asked.

'All of her older pics on Instagram, she is thin. Pulling the overweight card is disgusting when there are women that struggle with weight loss. Don't like her,' another commented.

'Yeah. How is she that chubby but has such a skinny neck and chin/jaw + face. It looks like post weight loss neck but pre–weight loss body. Bizarre,' one fan accused.

The Reddit thread has had fans take a deep dive into Bec's social media to investigate her weight claims – and the findings aren't flattering for the MAFS bride.

'I just lurked her insta and she isn't this size in any photos going back to 2012,' shared one keyboard warrior, while another added: 'I concur, just did the same.'

A third unhappy MAFS fan posted: 'She seems a bit more slender now, but was never 'chubby' or like this photo. I'm pretty grossed out by this lie.'

It comes after the Adelaide-based account manager recently made a heartbreaking confession ahead of her MAFS debut this week.

'Her weight loss photos are photoshopped,' wrote one fan on Reddit.(Pictured: Bec on same holiday)

'I hated myself for my whole life, I thought that I was ugly', she said in an interview with Adelaide Now last month.

But feisty Bec says she is bringing a renewed confidence into the MAFS experiment.

Bec explained that the physical change was only part of it – what mattered more was learning to appreciate herself enough to believe love could be possible.

'I've worked really hard, I was keto, and then I got into Pilates and weight training, and I transformed myself, and I thought 'if I love myself then why can't someone else?',' she told the publication.

While she's presenting as strong and self-assured, Bec admits handing her romantic future to the experts is confronting, especially knowing every moment will be dissected by viewers at home.

She says she's bracing for backlash as well as support, and hopes she can do her family proud while representing South Australia on the national stage.
