Married At First Sight bride Mel slams Jetstar after they make fun of her in trolling video and vows to never fly with the airline again

Married At First Sight bride Mel Arkbay has accused Jetstar of bullying after the airline trolled her in a bizarre promotional video on TikTok amid her doomed marriage to Luke Fourniotis. 

The clip, which appears to be AI-generated, features a song with the lyrics, 'Save Luke from MAFS, get him on the next flight... get him away from her,' with footage of a Jetstar plane taking off.

Luke is seen wearing a Jetstar logo and dancing against scenes from MAFS showing Mel looking downcast and the groom quitting the experiment.

'I didn’t realise Jetstar were supportive of bullying, but okay… Don’t think I want to be flying Jetstar anytime soon,' an unimpressed Mel, 27, told Daily Mail.

Other scenes in the video show the controversial bride dancing in a vacant church and Luke 'performing' at an outdoor concert.

'Luke, the man that you are... Jetstar Journey with Luke: MAFS and Airport Adventures,' the caption of the clip reads.

'Join Luke on his Jetstar adventure with MAFS moments in the airport! Discover fun insights and interactions.'

The video, which was shared on TikTok ahead of Luke and Mel quitting the show on Sunday night, has attracted 127 comments - many of them negative.

'Companies that use AI for promotions just look cheap,' said one user, while another added: 'Yikes. Honestly, I feel like Mel has a good case for a defamation lawsuit here.'

A third person commented: 'As much as this is light-hearted, this seems off, especially coming from such a big company.'

Still, some people saw the humour in Jetstar's cheeky promo.

'This is the best thing I have ever seen,' commented one enthusiast, while another fan hit out at the ad's haters.

'You realise this was literally just meant to be a funny video? 

'Yes, laugh and have fun with everyone who is doing stuff like this, but God forbid a company joins in on the fun/joke. Didn't realise social media had a fun police.'

Daily Mail has approached Jetstar for comment.

It comes after Luke recently told Daily Mail that he had no choice but to walk away from the experiment.

In a brutally honest moment, the 30-year-old farmer reflected on the toll his relationship had taken on him.

When asked whether he believed he had been paired with the right person, he did not hesitate.

'I feel like the life just got sucked out of me by the match I was with,' he confessed.

In a previous interview, Luke admitted the experiment had left him feeling like 'an absolute shadow of myself'.

'I lost my confidence and I just really didn't like it,' he said at the time.

Despite the public rejection, he had chosen to stay, explaining: 'It didn't feel right to leave the show without even giving the experts a chance.'

'I didn't want to leave with animosity towards Mel. I didn't want everyone to look back at the experience and think it was just horrible.'

He also confessed hearing Mel's comments in front of the group made him feel 'even more vulnerable' and 'almost embarrassed'.

At the time, Luke remained hopeful they could strip their relationship back to basics.

'Forget about intimacy, forget about romance,' he said.
