Margot Robbie fans went wild over a red carpet 'slip-up' about her husband at the Los Angeles premiere of Wuthering Heights.

While speaking on the red carpet, the actress, 35, revealed who she would go and see the upcoming drama with with her 'husband... or whoever' and fans joked that she ‘must be in an open relationship.’

Discussing the film, Margot, who produced the Emerald Fennell adaptation through her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, detailed the reason's behind its February 13 release date.

She said: 'If it was me, I'd want to go with all my girlfriends on a Friday night, I'd want to have cocktails, maybe dress up a little bit.

'Then I'd go with my husband... or whoever, on Valentines Day. So it felt like the perfect weekend to release it.'

Referring to her 2023 hit film, Barbie, fans claimed it must be 'girls' night, from now until forever' as Margot revealed who she would go and see the film with.

The clip, shared on TikTok by Hollywood Reporter, fans commented: 'The galentines comment it reminded me of the quote from Barbie “tonight’s girls night"';

Others added: 'AHAHAHAH poor husband; 'My husband or Jacob Elordi, or whoever????';

'Do they have an open marriage or .. ??'; 'My husband or whoever lol'; 'husband or whoever LOLOL.'

Margot and her husband Tom met on a film set in 2013, they went on to form their production company together before marrying in secret a few years later.

The couple welcomed a son together in October 2024 and have kept his name private.

Tom was also in attendance at the Los Angeles of Wuthering Heights this week, and looked debonair in a classic black tuxedo.

The actress waltzed onto the red carpet in a breathtaking couture gown by Schiaparelli.

However, all eyes were on Margot's décolletage, which was adorned by one Elizabeth Taylor's most famous jewellery pieces.

Margot wore the glitzy heart-shaped pendant, which is worth a reported $8million, high up on her neck with the gold chain falling down her back.

Wuthering Heights, the latest big screen adaptation of Emily Brontë’s iconic gothic romance, is set to be released in cinemas just before Valentine's Day on February 13.

Tom is a producer of the new sexually charged version of Wuthering Heights, directed by Saltburn's Emerald Fennell.

His wife plays the lead character Cathy Earnshaw, whose intense love for mysterious orphan Heathcliff – played by Jacob Elordi – leads to heartache and tragedy for two generations of families on the windswept Yorkshire moors.

Critics have slammed the casting of white Elordi as a character author Emily Bronte described as 'dark-skinned', while Robbie has been deemed 'too old' to play Cathy, who is a teenager in the novel.

But Fennell said the film 'needed somebody like Margot… somebody who has a godlike power, that means people lose their minds'.
