Apple TV on Tuesday unveiled its first teaser for Margo’s Got Money Troubles, the David E. Kelley-created series based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling book.
The series premieres April 15 with three episodes, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through May 20.
Margo (Elle Fanning) watches the diaper count add up on her credit card after taking three pregnancy tests to ensure a positive result. At one point in the clip, she lays down in the middle of a department store in a colorful striped dress, cowboy boots and jean jacket.
Her mother Shyanne (Michelle Pfeiffer) tells her to get back up off the floor because “There are no victims in Bloomingdale’s.”
Then Margo heads up to a rooftop parking lot to let out a scream.
The clip, set to Meek’s “Fabulous,” then shifts to the solution to Margo’s “money troubles”: her creative OnlyFans account through which she makes money to support her and her child.
At the end of the teaser, Nick Offerman’s Jinx appears, asking Margo what she’s up to behind closed doors. She appears in a robe to tell him she’s making “educational videos.”
The show also stars Thaddea Graham, Nicole Kidman, Greg Kinnear, Marcia Gay Harden, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty and Lindsey Normington.
Margo’s Got Money Troubles is produced for Apple TV by A24. David E. Kelley serves as showrunner and writer, and executive produces alongside Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures; Kidman and Per Saari of Blossom Films; and Matthew Tinker for David E. Kelley Productions. Pfeiffer, Thorpe, Eva Anderson and Boo Killebrew also executive produce.
BAFTA and Emmy Award-winner Dearbhla Walsh directs the pilot and serves as an executive producer. Additional directors include Kate Herron and Alice Seabright.
