Margaret Josephs discusses secret nose job after shock departure from The Real Housewives of New Jersey

3 weeks ago 16

Margaret Josephs just publicly revealed she had rhinoplasty on March 4, but it turns out she secretly underwent the plastic surgery procedure last August.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum - turning 59 on April 9 - enlisted Dr. Gary Motykie to perform the 'nasal rejuvenation' in LA after a New York doctor 'wanted to literally take my whole nose off' because he deemed it 'too masculine.'

'It was making me nuts,' Josephs told People on Tuesday.

'I would notice in pictures that my nose would look bigger or the tip would drop when I would smile. I was like, "What's going on?" And then I looked at pictures when I was younger. My face was fuller, my nose looked different. After a while, I was like, this is not working.'

Dr. Motykie not only refined the tip and bump on the Bravo-lebrity's nose he also fixed her deviated septum, which left her 'breathing a lot better.'

The plastic surgeon also did a stem cell treatment and injected Josephs' own hip body fat into her face, which had hollowed out following her GLP-1 agonist-assisted, 22lb weight loss in 2023.

'It gave me a more youthful appearance,' the FIT grad said.

'I was never really a filler person. I did filler once or twice on my lips years ago. After I had my veneers done, I feel like it puffed up my lips a little.'

Josephs convalesced at the $1,200 to $2,000/per night Beverly Hills Hotel where she managed to 'scare children at the pool' with her 'brutal' bruising post-surgery.

In 2019, the Jersey Girl underwent extensive cosmetic surgery - revision neck lift, deep plane facelift, lower eyelid lift and a revision upper eyelid lift - performed by Dr. Mark Karolak.

And in 2020, Josephs had a breast lift and reduction performed by Dr. Joseph Michaels.

'Prior to even going on TV, I had my eyes done and a brow lift in my early 40s because I had such deep lines in my face,' the platinum blonde noted.

'I had gotten a lot of sun, my lids were drooping. So yes, I definitely would've still gotten plastic surgery [if I weren't on TV]. I'm a vain woman, I'm not going to lie. I do it for myself, that's the whole point, not for anybody else.'

It's been one week since Josephs shocked her fans by announcing she was 'moving on' from RHONJ after seven seasons in order 'to spend more time with my family, work on my designing, and just take a break.'

However, the 'blessed' reality star was already 'on the set' of her new project, which Us Weekly claimed is Savannah Chrisley's untitled reality show for Amazon Prime Video.

Catania told People on Monday (pictured): 'There's a change. We've been with the same girls for so long. I will miss the girls that aren't coming back. I'm from New Jersey. We don't like change, right? But I'm embracing everybody, and I'm looking forward to starting again'

The Eat, Pray, Love-style series in the Dominican Republic is also rumored to feature Julie Chrisley, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Kenya Moore, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jenn Tran, Brittany Cartwright, Christine Quinn, Tamar Braxton and Hilaria Baldwin.

'It becomes a part of your life, so I'm ready to go back. I miss it. You probably know as much as I do, because we don't have anything solid yet except for the fact that we're coming back. Which, hey, I'll take it.'

Josephs keeps busy running her companies the Macbeth Collection, Candie Couture and Soirée mocktails.

The sober star - who boasts 1.2 million social media followers - is also every bit the influencer with paid partnerships for brands like LifeRx.md, Laura Geller Beauty, Samplize, Nofar Method, Out East Organizers and Cynosure Lutronic.
