Married At First Sight bride Jacqui Burfoot has unleashed on the show's producers in a bombshell Instagram post.

Taking to a new Instagram account, Jacqui accused the show of misleading editing and twisting the truth about her portrayal on the hit reality series.

In the scathing statement, which she shared alongside a smiling selfie, the alleged former Miss New Zealand claimed her MAFS storyline was heavily fabricated, insisting she signed up for an 'unfiltered, raw marriage experiment'—not a scripted soap opera.

'I agree – my character makes no sense, but that's not my fault – blame the editors!' Jacqui wrote.

'More than happy to spill the tea so you can get to know the real me and my story!'

The 29-year-old lawyer didn't hold back, hinting that she was fed up with being portrayed in a misleading way.

Taking to a new Instagram page, Jacqui accused the show of misleading editing and twisting the truth about her portrayal on the hit reality series

'You've been fed a highly edited fictional storyline and I feel like you deserve to know the truth,' she continued.

'I can't sit back and support misleading and deceptive stories.'

Jacqui, who was paired with Ryan Donnelly on the show, went on to share insights into her personal life, revealing that she has since found love outside of the experiment and is now in a happy and committed relationship.

'I am currently in a relationship with a person who was exactly what I asked for – someone kind, considerate, a great man, and intelligent,' she gushed.

'Sometimes miracles happen because today I am in fact in a happy and loving long-term relationship!'

In another eyebrow-raising revelation, Jacqui also admitted she has 'a thing for men with high EQ/IQ', boldly declaring that she 'is not interested in looks at all'.

The reality star, who has largely remained tight-lipped since filming wrapped, also confessed to battling deep insecurities, stating, 'I need constant compliments, but hey, don't we all deserve that?'

It comes after viewers mocked the consultant by Jacqui's over-the-top emotional display, with many posting on X that they felt the crying seemed faked.

'I AM CONFUSED, WHY IS SHE CRYING,' shouted one person while another said, 'Fake crying'.

'Jacqui needs to audition for a soap opera IMMEDIATELY,' wrote another while someone else chimed in, 'Okay Jacqui wins the worst fake cry of the season.'

'Did I miss something? Why did she start (fake) crying?' someone else asked with one more questioning, 'I zoned out - why is Jacqui fake crying?'

'Hi Jacqui. I'm here to tell you that when people cry, they usually have tears,' one more person posted.

'Um what is happening with Jacqui? Is it audition time for Home and Away now?' another mused.

'I agree – my character makes no sense, but that's not my fault – blame the editors!' Jacqui wrote

Jacqui was introduced earlier in the episode and indicated that with her impressive résumé of yoga instructor, ex-cheerleader, and corporate professional, it's impossible to find someone on her level.

She wanted a 'male version' of herself' but couldn't hide her disappointment when Ryan rocked up with dark hair and scruff.

'I'm a bit disappointed he's not blonde,' she admitted, crushing his heroic heart faster than you can say 'shave, mate'.

Her candid comments have sparked a flurry of reactions online.

Some fans were divided over whether Jacqui's post was a justified call-out or an attempt to control the narrative after facing criticism on the show.

While some viewers praised her honesty, others pointed out that contestants sign up knowing the MAFS process is heavily produced.

'She knew what she was getting into – no one goes on this show expecting a fairytale,' one fan commented.

'It's refreshing to see a bride call out the fakery!' another wrote.

Another defended the show, and chimed: 'When they aren’t nice people they always blame the edit'.

'Yeah I just don’t know. I feel like she’s the type that would fake a boyfriend,' commented another.

'Every year they blame the edit. Like seriously have they not watched the previous 11 seasons,' one more wrote.

So far, Channel Nine and MAFS producers have yet to respond to Jacqui's fiery claims.
