Lucy Mecklenburgh was left 'fuming' after losing her shoe between a train and the platform on Thursday.

The former TOWIE star, 35, took to Instagram to document the debacle which forced her to travel home barefoot following a date with her fiancé Ryan Thomas.

She was seen covering her mouth with her hand in shock as she stood on the train wearing only one of her black loafers.

Her right foot was exposed as Ryan, 42, could be heard shouting: 'Oh my god,' in the background.

In the caption of his post he wrote: 'Lucy lost her shoe getting on the train.'

She then added in the re-post on her own social media: 'Fuming I love these shoes'.

It comes after earlier this month it was revealed that Lucy and Ryan are poised for a huge property windfall after putting their lavish Cheshire mansion on the market for £1.25million.

The pair bought the Edwardian doer-upper near Stockport for just £675,000 in 2021.

The celebrity couple poured tens of thousands of pounds into the sprawling property, extending it into a glossy four-storey family home complete with a gym, sound studio and open-plan kitchen.

If it achieves its seven-figure asking price, their 3,100 sq ft home will have risen in value by £575,000 – an 85 per cent increase.

That would lead to an immediate bumper payday for former Coronation Street star Ryan – as his is the sole name on the deeds.

And the sale would also mark a considerable turnaround for Ryan, who has spoken candidly about his past financial troubles.

Ryan was declared bankrupt in 2013 over an unpaid £40,000 tax bill, despite earning an estimated £90,000 a year from his soap career.

More recently, his media firm R James Thomas Ltd was revealed to have just £1 left in its bank account, down from £41,361 in 2024.

The business also had more than £30,000 outstanding on a Covid Bounce Back loan, according to Companies House filings last year.

While Ryan has spoken openly about his financial struggles, former TOWIE favourite Lucy has converted her fame into substantial wealth.

The former fashion buyer is said to have amassed a £3million fortune through her fitness business, fashion deals, beauty campaigns and an endless succession of lucrative endorsements to her 1.7 million Instagram followers.

Her entertainment company Lucy Olivia Ltd recorded assets of £1.32million in 2025, while her fitness business Results Wellness Lifestyle had assets of around £660,000.

Lucy, who has worked with the likes of New Look, Very and Pretty Little Thing, owns at least one investment property worth £360,000.

The couple first met while filming Channel 4's celebrity version of The Island with Bear Grylls in 2017 and became engaged in Italy in 2019.

Ryan purchased the Stockport property in 2021, although the couple did not move in until 2023 following extensive renovations.

They made the move north with their children Roman, five, and Lilah, three, after selling Lucy's former home in her native Essex.

Despite the mansion's luxurious surroundings, Lucy revealed last month that she and Ryan sleep in separate bedrooms.
